I just watched the replay last night. During the 1st main Marv put a CLEAN pass on Webb and then when Webb punted Marv Off the track in the Sand, RC couldn’t shut up about how Marv deserved and had it coming from Webb.

That toppled with last week and Marv jumping on the Red Cross flag which RC could not shut up about.......Did Marv somehow piss RC off somewhere? He CLEARLY does not like Musquin and as an announcer, it should never come across that way.

RC picked Webb to win way back so he has a vested interest. Remember, RC is the 'color' guy. Supposed to add 'color' to the commentary. I think he does ok. Only his first year. But we know RC is just a county boy, not some polished speaker.

His bias for Webber was so obvious during the broadcast I had to mute my tv, couldn’t stand to listen to him keep going on about payback like a giddy school girl. SMH

Listening Ricky's comments is like what?? what?? all the time. Like we are not watching the same race.

Like when he says Deano took of Marv after the whoops. There isn't contact at all. Marv just got through the whoops out of control and couldn't handle the rut entering to the corner.

And standing up for Webb in that first moto? It's like his cheerleader. C'mon RC, a little bit of dignity.

Honestly, being there Saturday night, I had a good look on Marv getting into Webb in multiple corners on the first lap.

While that's racing, Webb was pissed off (and I would probably be too, as it's happened to me on the track). I think he reacted like most of us would. You see it every weekend too, guy gets ran high, other guy retaliates. This time it was just orange on orange crime

But come on guys! RC is right! Why would you want MM to win over CW! Smile How do you not love the fact that CW is willing to show who is boss out on the track! I love it and think we need more of that mentality. Please Cooper don't change one bit!

Has anyone else wondered about Mcgrath as color guy? has be been the color guy before? when I see Mcgrath as the track guy and RC in the Studio, I always think id rather see Mcgrath as color guy. It could just be my bias toward the King though.

Hey, I live about 10 min from Coop’s practice track here in NC, but I don’t like the way he’s acting at the moment. At the end of the 3rd main, he drives his bike over, hands it to his mechanic, doesn’t even shake his hand or anything and immediately starts look for the camera for his post race interview. I’ve NEVER seen anyone else do that.

Atlanta, autographs were 3pm-3:30pm. Coop walked at 3:25. Marv stayed until 3:30pm and then got up and walked down the line and and signed and posed for pics until the last person was gone. That is how you should act.

I'm not on the Webb wagon, nor will I ever probably be. Having said that, i hope he fucking punts Musquin off the track every single chance he gets. Musquin wouldn't be half bad if he would just own up to the dumb shit he does. Acts all surprised when somebody pulls a questionable move on him, yet he does it time and time again, then claims ignorance.....or changes his story 3 fucking times. Own your shit bud! Its easier for me to respect riders like Barcia and Bowers when at least they own up to the dumb shit they pull.....

And as far as the commentating goes by RC...….I find that way less annoying than the camera guys/producer cutting away from a battle to show either A.The guy in 1st with a 10 second lead or B. footage from a past race that has nothing to do with what is going on in the race we are trying to watch.

On that note. I’m liking Webb. He is at least cranking on it and willing himself to the championship. Since Dungey and Poto left, and Weston got hurt there hasn’t been much mental strength demonstrated.

I didn't pay that much attention to what they were saying in the booth. I mean, I heard them talking, but I wasn't that focused on exactly what they were saying. I did notice Marvin racing Webb aggressively on that first lap (honestly that was kind of refreshing since Marv has never really been a go for it kind of guy), but Webb wants this title more than Marvin based on his reaction to Marv's aggressive racing. It didn't look to me like Webb tried to run him off the track, but it wound up that way. I'd rather see racing like that than to see one of those guys just roll over and let the other go off into the distance. I've been getting enough of that from poor old Eli this year.

People say he's improved already this year in the booth but man I can't see it. He's done a fair bit of guest appearances alongside jeff and ralph for years and to me he just sounds the exact same.

I think he has the knowledge in him of course, but like others say, he comes across too biased often and also struggles to organize his thoughts to let us know what he knows.

I suck too at organizing my thoughts, I can't imagine doing that job so I don't know how he had the balls to attempt it!

I'm not a huge fan of Cooper's personality but I'm pretty sure he parked his bike and went and shook all his competitors hands after the third main. I thought that was pretty cool actually.
