What the heck is a must situation?

Ricky says at least 5 times a night that riders are in "must" situations. I'm familiar with the idea of "must-win" situation or must-pass situation. What exactly "must" these guys do, Ricky?? I'm pulling my hair out over here.

Not sure about the context or timing of the comment but in the post race interview...Webb mentioned that he realized his position and just brought it on home (paraphrasing). In any case, I don't have any complaints about Ricky in the booth. Every time he verbally stumbles I think about how incredible he was on a dirt bike...and remember he's a human being. He's A-Ok in my book.
