Yep they do. And since I wired blinkers into my handguards I leave my left turn signal on.

Has anyone ran different gearing?

Was thinking about 13-51
or possibly 14-52

I am embarrassed to ask. I just adjusted my sag, 104, and can only touch with one foot on my tip toes. I have a 33 inseam. The height is listed at 37.6", and my 04 KX125 is listed at 37.2", but I can touch with both feet on the balls of my feet. I weigh 175.2 without gear. I know Keefer said the bike was tall/ tip toes. Anyone else notice this. May get PC linkage when available. This makes starts a little difficult.

Ride engineering linkage lowers it aproximately 8 to 10mm.

I am currently running a stock front sprocket and a 51 tooth rear. Going back to a 50. Kawi nailed the gearing. If you want to try the 51 I have a brand new green Renthal

What was wrong with the 51? Im at 6800 F and was looking at a 51. Little more grunt for the lack of air.

Well I’m at sea level and the bike has plenty of grunt to pull the 50. I just didn’t like where the 51 put the power, im a woods rider so getting the power in the right place is crucial on a 450. I bought the 51 before I even bought the bike

14/53 is exactly the same as 13/50

I just tried this set up , hardly any clearance between the counter shaft sprocket and the guard , and the rear drags on the back chain guide because of the bigger sprocket and the angle it feed the onto the rear sprocket, I took it off and went back to stock .

Yeah 14/53 is just silly. Absolutely no reason for either of them to be so large, the same result can be had with 13/50

After some time on the bike and moving the perch around the arc clutch lever feels pretty good took some getting used to... use my first 2 fingers instead of 1 finger

This has more to do with helping the chassis/handling than it does actually "changing" the gear ratio. As you've stated, its very similar to 13/50. However, it helps to keep the chassis from squatting when under load (heavy throttle). I'd imagine its most noticeable when exiting a corner in rough accel chop, helping to keep the shock up in its stroke to feel plusher, rather than blowing through the initial stroke solely from the torque of the forward drive coming from the engine paired with the accel chop.

I had a feeling it would be a nightmare at the rear chain guide, as 54 is pretty big.

"Hot Setup" because the ride engineering video talked about running that , hah.

I want to see the performance compared to the pc and fmf. Saw a pc in person the other day and it looked really good. Heard the performance was no better than stock though and in some ways worse.

That's pretty much the case nowadays with all manufacturers and aftermarket pipes. The best option when swapping out the stocker is a remap, but just bolting on a pipe today isn't going to do much in terms of performance aside from noise. The Japanese and Austrians do a phenomenal job designing the stock exhaust today.

9.5 out of 10 people don’t swap exhaust on today’s 450’s for performance gains. It’s the sound and the look they are after. Have you heard a new Yamaha? Sound like shit. Have you seen the new kawi silencer? Looks like shit.

Swap posted on the gram that he went to full FMF system but then went back to stock header/FMF slip on because it gave the low end snap back.

Makes sense the stock header has the dip where aftermarket is straighter.

Not really, 14/53 would give you a final ratio of 3.79 and 13/50 gives you a final ratio of 3.85. But 13/49 would give you a final ratio of 3.77 which could be considered roughly the same thing.

Exactly what EAmato said^^^

In addition, my PC shaved off just under 4lbs (full t.i system)

Keefer said hes working on a comparison of the big 3 exhaust... My ass dyno says a full fmf improved my bike, I ran a slip on for 2 weeks then added a titanium megabomb it quieten it down and the bike will hit you right between the eyes in hurry I feel a big improvement may just be me tho...

I hear ya. Having said that, I had a 16 kx 450 and went full fmf ti and it def gave the bike performance gains. Looked a hell of a lot better too and that stock muffler sounded terrible!
