To be honest it seemed like a strange night of racing. Track was average. Nothing to write home about. No tricky rhythms or sections. Nothing to complain about with the track but nothing to praise either. Did seem hard for the top guys to move forward.

The 2 line option before the whoops was interesting. The outside line was drastically slower for the 450 class but about the same if not a tad faster for the 250 class. Pretty obvious why and that’s because the 450 can go from zero to top speed much faster than the 250 so the inside line was the way to go for the 450 class by far.

Tomac not sure what was going on there but faded bad. Very odd. Would like to know why from him.

Webb rode a great race and in my opinion could of battled for the lead but he played it smart and settled for third and protected his championship. Smart move.

Bagget is getting better each week. I think his fitness fades around 10 to 15 laps so if he works on that he could win.

Fitness is really what separates these guys. Talent can get a win in a 6 minute race but not 20. That’s all fitness there. I would have arm pump after half a lap. Lol

I am real curious what’s up with davalos. Don’t know if there is an injury or something I missed or not aware of. He is usually one of the fastest guys each year and gets great starts. I don’t know. He just seems slower this year.

Justin Hill has me completely baffled. Qualifies near the top and lucky to break the top 15.

The announcement was awful last night. Really bad. Ricky really has no business in the booth and I hope he figures it out. If anyone can Ricky probably could based off his past and drive to do better. However they just seem to be fishing for things to say and make shit up half the time or miss things. When they were bagging on Webb around 5 minutes in I was like what are they talking about. There’s nothing wrong with him. He got a fifth place start and is now in third and is leading the championship and has won five races. I was like what in the world are they taking about.

So interesting season so far.

They were not bagging on Webb. The did not see that he stalled the bike. Feel free to apply for the color commentating position since you're the expert.

I Thought the announcing was Awful also , possibly the worst i remember. Its almost like they are trying to hard instead of letting it come to them as Ricky was talking about , there is action everywhere and they are so worried about saying something at all times that they say something Dumb and miss the real action Because they are already Talking.
Track kinda sucked, You answered your own Question about J Hill
Talent vs Fitness, i bet he would say the same thing.
He knows he is fast and can ride but needs more stamina.
Im actually in Favor of slightly Shorter Races, to balance Talent Vs Fitness a little bit , instead of Fittest wins period
I would like to see them Try a 2 moto format instead of 3
(Triple crown)

So true! Everyone rides the same track, it's different dirt and a different layout each week.

Marv ripping a holeshot...even more outside of Webb's "gamble" gatepick as called by RC.

RC as a Racer almost always picked towards the inside
So it was just his opinion.

RC delivery is not the best but he has really good insight and knows what to say immediately when a situation unfolds. You can't hire a professional announcer to do that.

I agree. Announcing was awful. I kept hoping as the season went on they'd get better at it but they really haven't and I really don't see that Ricky's bringing any insight to the commentary. 180 degree turns make it hard to pass? Rider X needs to step up his game? He bobbled in that corner? These are inane comments not insight. Last night he could barely complete a sentence.

I thought St. Elmo Fire shrimp cocktail was the best ever over 30 years. Race marginal.

They will bitch about anything. Does not matter who's announcing, who's racing, how good the track or coverage coverage is, they will bitch. Could you imagine if these whiny snowflakes had to wait a week to watch a highly edited and grainy version of the race on Speedweek on a crappy 14" TV, and if they wanted to to see a picture of their favorite star and maybe hear their opinion they had to wait a whole month till the next issue of Motocross Action came out?

They would kill themselves.

Nobody is bitching. They are offering opinions. Big difference.

Am I missing something? Being completely serious when I ask, “why are you doing weekly posts with your thoughts on each round.”?

Cause it’s fun. I have all this stuff in me and nobody to talk with it about. Gotta get it out. Don’t have anyone else in my life to talk moto with. Isn’t that kind of the point of a moto board?

Not at all. Plenty of people appreciate having the best of the best breaking it down no matter how redneck/home skooled he is. I dig he and Blair's input

Plenty of people??? LOL

Lets call it what it is, RC is terrible behind the mic........ actually, terrible would be on his best day, and he KEEPS GETTING WORSE....... good God, Saturday night he had trouble producing full sentences, and when he did, it was either "they are gonna start jumping the whoops I swear" or it was a full sentence he would then butcher to death, that would end up not making a lick of sense....... Dude must be able to suck start a harley to keep his job at this point.......

The irony was thick and lost on the booth dwellers.
