How do you think a healthy RV2 JS7 RD5 Would fare this SX season? Running with Coop, Tomac , Roczen how they are riding now, Let me see your "top 5" or 6 being the wild card, I would say

RV2
JS7 (tough maybe swap with ET3)
ET3 (maybe swap to 2nd)
RD5
Coop

Wildcard Roczen

Nobody would be at the pace of js7 or Rv2 while healthy and fit. Rc4, Dungey, Reed(in his prime) and a healthy and fit Canard would be the only guys that would be on par with them followed by Et3 and Coop. I still think Roczen is a faster rider than Coop, just needs his confidence back, still too timid. There are many other riders that could hold their own from time to time but these riders stand out to me.

Depends which year. A 2011-2012 Reed or Anaheim 2014 Reed could run with anyone. Dungey in 16 was crazy fast. I think a 2001-2005 RC on the right bike would be fast but I don’t think anyone could beat JS in 07 or 09. You have to put Jeremy in the conversation too. He jumped things no one else would do. Imagine 96 McGrath with a 450.

Bikes change, tracks change and style evolves but there is one constant and that is talent. It's utter blasphemy if you don't think the King, with the most SX wins by far, wouldn't be right at the top of the list with all things being equal.

Reed raced with all these guys . I'd like to hear his take on it. Is he going as fast or faster than he ever has and it's just not good enough anymore or has he slowed down some ?

I think the 2013 RV2 would still whoop them all. Bikes and styles have not changed to any real degree since then either. He was just too good for anyone that uear. Indoors and out. His comeback from a first turn crash at Southwick in moto 1 has to be the one of the most awesome display of speed and sand skills I've ever witnessed. In moto 2 he just smoked everybody. I just dont believe anybody could have beaten him indoors or outdoors that year.
No doubt McGrath was better in his time and for his time in SX.
Stewart no doubt the most gifted and fastest at certain times ever.
Carmichael the best outdoor rider ever in an overall sense.
Athletes evolve and improve though, so it's hard to bet against today's top riders, but I truly believe a 2013 RV2 brought forward in time to 2019 would still win and take both the SX and MX title.
Just my long winded guesses on these hypothetical scenarios.

People always doubting Carmicheal. No one in moto history has ever adapted to so many challenges by so many different people. 2 stroke, 4 stroke, Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki, it didn't matter. He did what he had to do to win championships. Did he ever lose a title chase that he entered? Honest question. RC4 would win.

Yes, 99 and 2000 Supercross titles.
In MX he never lost a title.

And that there sums it up! Any of these guys on any day could win. Different times, different bikes, but the will to win is in all of these guys.

But RC wanted it everyday for ten years!!! I bet Decoster, Hannah, Johnson, McGrath and RC would be a race!!!! None liked losing. The winner would be the one afraid of losing the most!!!
