Dropping a round of MX is a horrible idea. In my opinion MX should be the main focus and no less than 10 rounds.

And I don't know about anyone else but 3 and 4 round series shouldn't be called championship series. Way too short.

Hopefully moving the AX races later will result in some better dirt in Abbotsford. If you can call last year's jello "dirt" that is!

No Montreal SX, no surprise there but they where saying they had a 3 years contract with the stadium and that they will be back next year. But with the price I heard for putting up the race last year and the crowd number its easy to understand why they seem to drop the race.

No race at Nanaimo? Pardon me if the place isn't even around anymore or something, I'm just a casual fan from the States. That track always showed who was a gritty rider IMO.

Nanaimo's such a cool track, heard logistics were hard getting to the island, never been to PG but the track looks good also.

I applaud their efforts to create something new and unique, but Canadian MX should be made to scale. I agree with Mav on this one-a 10 round top notch MX series-that is it. Going from Calgary to Prince George to Minnedosa? WHAT? That is a fortune in travel costs for the first 3 rounds, never mind going across the rest of the country. Geography/travel should make better sense than this. In fact, if it were me I wouldn't even have a round in BC-they can all come to Calgary and Edmonton (Antler Lake), then off to Regina, Manitoba, and out east to make 10 rounds. The other AX and SX tours? Satellite/independent series not tied into the MX series. But hey, it ain't my series and I ain't putting up any cash so.....And their amateur day shouldn't be such a fucking rip off-they charged a fortune for entry fees last year.

They announced the 3 year deal for the MTL SX during the event so they already knew about the bad turnout.

Maybe the MTL SX is still a thing and just not part of the Triple Crown Schedule. Some people were upset last year because they had to pay to get there while some Americans and Euros were paid start money. Those invited riders also 'stole' championship points so people were upset.

Years and years ago. What many see today is not what was presented when I raced. Less prep and maintenance, combined with poorly designed jumps made it dangerous IMO...

That could have all been avoided if they had sourced better dirt. Not stuff that was dug up the the day before while a big snowfall was going on.

Not to mention the minute the first dump truck unloaded that first load they should have been making different arrangements. That whole thing was a complete shit show.

I think the schedule is ok but I agree with the idea it should be 10 rounds of mx.

I enjoy the mix of Canadian riders versus US riders. I also like the fact that it gives US riders an opportunity for decent rides or ability to race for wins when often down south there is no chance of beating the top tier guys.

I think it's a joke. Especially for West riders wanting to earn a #.....Calgary, back to PG, then to Manitoba. That is some seriously stupid logistics. Not to mention no Popkum. Going down to 8 rounds is a not a turn for the better in Canadian MX.

I was there this year...turn out was awful. My girlfriend and I paid for premium sits and there was bo control from the security on this. People with the cheapest seats all came down in out area. The Canadian riders were so ticked because this wasn’t suppose to be part of the series and than they made it a part plus broughg a bunch of US talent to interfere with the points battle. It was pretty messed up. Event went OK but attendance was really low. The date on the TBA is the same as MTL so maybe it’ll be back?

This is bad not having a BC round where the majority of the population resides. I'm not unCanadian but I would rather drive to Washougal than PG to watch moto.

Montreal will be a stand alone event comparable to Geneva and other rounds put on my Eric P. Guys I know on paper there's some issues with the schedule but the Thompson's were racers too, privateers in the case of Justin and Kyle. They know the costs involved so there has to be a reason. I'd love to see 10 rounds of MX and maybe that will come in the future but it is nice to see promoters putting in the work for a national indoor series. (I know BC indoor has been strong for years)

PG is an awesome track, but ya Washougal is the same distance time wise.

Forgot to add a rule change for 2019 so added it to my original post.

Anyone see something missing that doesn't make sense? Hint: AMA 250SX.

Im surprised there is no race again in London at Delaware Speedway, that was actually probably the coolest race of the SX series to be honest. It was a mini Daytona and youre near a decent sized city too.

Minnedosa isn’t even the best Manitoba has to offer. Nobody else must have wanted it.

Bring back Kamloops, always liked going there. Awesome place to bring the family for the weekend.

Combined with Future Wests takeover of the series, and the Kamloops track having gone through a management shift, it just wasn't in the cards. I'm sure it will be brought up at the next meeting about what's happening for 2020.

Looks like that sx top ten rule is to let Pettis race in Canada if he get top ten in the sx250 west series.

New addition to the MX series this year. There's going to be a Pre-Mix class at each of the Nationals. For 2019 the class won't be a points series but instead they will be individual events.

-FXR will be sponsoring the class and you'll get a free t-shirt with your entry.
-$40 entry
-12 year old mininum age
-Open to 125-150cc bikes
-2 moto format on National day
-2nd moto will be livestreamed
-Vintage bikes allowed

Personally I think the minimum age should be 16. Seeing as the days were already long last year I'm not sure having the 2 moto format on national day is such a good idea.

That said, hopefully they get full gates at most events so that it can become a legit points paying series in 2020.

YAWN YAWN.

anyone who is pissed about popkum not being on the schedule obviously wasnt there.

PG Is one of the best tracks on the circuit. They should drop the AX and run a 10-12 mx series and a 5-6 SX series???

The SX tracks were basically AX tracks to begin with besides Montreal. Kind of hard to call it the Triple Crown series with only MX & SX too.

I agree. They tried and I give them credit for trying but then do a mx/ax series. No racing in the early months.
