You already got plans locked down?
Nothing yet, but we’re thinking of getting an air b&b near the track, then one in Amsterdam for a few days after the race.

You?

I bet tomac goes. Hes good in the sand and actually likes the sand. He dominates at daytona and southwick. And judging by his interviews he wants revenge. Send eli, 2nd place outdoor guy, and whoever does good in the 250 class.

Its simple all husky team Anderson Covington and Osborne. Those 3 said if chosen they would spend weeks in Europe. Tomac is no t going to be willing to do that. If all are healthy idk why you would pick a different team

Because anderson still hasnt won an outdoor race. Tomac is a back to back champion and is better than anderson whether he plays in the sand or not.

I was thinking of ending the visit at the race (so I am not in a crappy mood the whole time... lol). But similar, Amsterdam then a trip to the race.

I am thinking against it more and more though. The cost might just be too much. One good thing is my wife would be cool with whatever... she always wants to travel. So really... it is up to me.

If the USA doesn't go, that puts a huge hurtn on the event. However, our guys don't seem to give a shit about riding it anymore, so lets cave and have our biggest stars another weekend off during their primes....

Really? Anderson a strong rider and is gritty as they come. Did way better than Eli when he had his shot in 16. The 3 mention all want to do it 100%. Dont see tomac spending time in Europe before the race. All the husky guys can easily get their equipment . And spend a couple weeks riding there.

Marc de Reuver was amazing to watch in the sand. There was this GP back in the day, Lierop I think it was, far in to the four-stroke era and Marc was running up front on pretty much the only 250 twostroke in the field. Just amazing.

So both Brian and Marc might know a thing or two about how to ride sand Smile

We're busy that weekend

De Reuver was amazing in the sand but I find it quite funny that someone who has had to resort to training riders as a job is calling Barcia a hobby rider.

I know who they are and how good they were,
hence why I said they talk shit like the rest of us as guys like that usually don’t. I thought it was a bit funny.

You make good points and that team would be a good bet but i have to say its not far to travel, its about 11 hours on a plane, we travel to Cali for holidays, you lose a day that is it.

them doing the reverse on business class isn't far at all, i would fly many times that to represent my country.

Fuck yeah the USA should and will send a team, i hope at least anyway and what a crock of shit if they didn't - no way they wouldn't, the damage would be long term - this is a silly thread but i had to play because i am just a child at heart.

A podium though?

I don't think so.

if USA didn't go it would be bad for you and not the event - the event would still be unreal.

drop the fucking ego bro, the world is not reliant on the USA appearing at MX races or elsewhere.

maybe in another dimension you are joking, in which case myself in that dimension is sorry he bit.

because he is old as fuck and never took the big money, he also wants to make a living and give back to the sport that gave him a really great life travelling the world.

How is that funny?

It's funny because Barcia is quite a bit more accomplished than him and is actively racing as a job but yet Barcia is the "hobby rider"?

Yes I'm aware that some bad injuries plagued Marc's career, spare me the lecture.

Lol it doesnt matter. Eli is miles ahead of anderson in sand no matter where they practice. Thats the point.

I believe that the USA should go with the same team that was crushed in Red Bud; Tomac, Barcia and Plessinger, who have the opportunity to make up after Red Bud and show pride, surely do not win in the sand of Assen, but we must not forget that the first USA win was in the sand of Lommel in 1981, so if they manage to win, it will be one of the best triumphs fron the Team USA in the MXDN, we go to see if they really put everything into it.

He took big money but always lived from paycheck to paycheck. At Champ KTM at that moment he fought for the world championship and the bonuses were nice. But if you want to be the king in the discothèque and pay drinks for everyone in the club and buys a house as big as the playboy mansion with jacuzzi and swimming pool. Money melts like snow in the sun.

At Martin Honda, the factory team at the moment he made big money again but, and Rinaldi too. Also Beursfoon payed him well.

So he never made big money is bull shit. He got nice helmet deals, deals with Thor,...

I bet at Assen, Lierop, Lommel and Valkenswaard De Reuver still rides circles around Barcia (for one lap ?) One of the best EVER in the sand.

The last Moto of lommel MxDN Marc’s best lap was 7 seconds off of Barcias and I believe Barcia lapped him or was close to it.

De Reuver is the man, he actually said hi in Finnish to my dad a few weeks ago at a track because he saw our Finnish plates on the vanLaughing

2012 was Marc's final year where he did the majority of the MXGPs.... he also crashed in the first turn with Herlings that moto

Then a year later, on a rutted Teutschenthal.... a semi-retired de Reuver returned the favour and beat Barcia in a moto. Crazy.
