Thompson said he was braking up the face and Colton was going for it. Racing incident that looked like Cole's fault but once we see the replay, that might not be the case.
Glad to hear Facciotti walked off.
Should be a good final round in Ontario.
Pretty safe to say that Thompson will be walking away with the Rockstar Energy Triple Crown 100k payout in 2 weeks after the final race.
That said it sure didn’t seem intentional on Thompson’s part, went for an aggressive pass for sure but he didn’t expect Facciotti to go for it. He genuinely seemed to feel bad about it on the podium. Probably didn’t go see him to let the medics do their work.
As for Wright, I saw him go down pretty bad in practice, might explain why he didn’t line up for the night show.
Edit: someone posted a video of the crash on fb. I’ll try to see if I can upload it here somehow. I don’t see where Thompson ever had the advantage over facciotti. Seems like they make contact and CF is in a deep rut and he loses his balance. Definitely a racing incident but a bummer nonetheless. Hope he’s ok.
Pit Row
No way someone would rail the outside enough to beat you to the line, but someone can easily dive inside and get the win.
Awful move/choice by someone that has a decent points lead.
Here’s a really clear view slowed down.
It's barely an AX lap.
This kinda bums me out.
But I agree that it's more AX than SX.
