Maybe this has been said but I can't help but wonder if the decision for no penalties would be the same if Thompson was the one out with an injury. I genuinely think they would make the same call in that scenario but I can see why some would think otherwise. No matter what way you slice it, it's not a great look for JetWerx and Canadian moto as a whole in my opinion.

Exhibit A of why finish line jumps might not be such a good idea.

Especially that close to a turn like that.

Especially if it turns out the finish line wasn't at the jump after all anyway.

If they could turn back the clock:
1. Should have left the fine alone and not raised it to 20k
2. Cole's Dad should have stayed out of things
3. Wright should have rode if he wanted to
4. Cole should have got the 5k fine for the finish line move, dangerous riding

All things that should/would have happened if nepotism was not involved.

Sorry for bringing this back up but this is just too good. This is Thompson vs. Facciotti this year.

Oh, and looks like Facciotti isn't hanging up the boots just yet and he might have a very popular rider as a new teammate.

I feel like if Colt comes back for sure he's not going to play nice around Thompson. Next year should be pretty good.

Wright is 250 and looking to move up. Not sure if he's staying or going but looks like GDR might have someone new for 2019.

Pettis might be staying or leaving MX101. Last night's broadcast mentioned they have 15 days to match or make him a better offer. He likes the team and the Yamaha so I'm hoping he stays there. Losing the #1 rider to another team 2 years in a row would suck big time.

Don't forget there's also a 450 spot open at KTM since Benoit announced his retirement.

2019 should be good.
