I owned one exactly like this back in 78 only it was white. Had it for few months and it was stolen never to be seen again.

Had a friend that had one very similar just in silver. 402 BBC, cowl induction and a four speed. Pretty neat car/truck.

Check out www.lefthandutes.com for a company in Denver that imports and converts Holdens to left hand drive for the US market. I think these are new units from Australia that get shipped in and converted.

I was ready to pull the trigger on one of these a few years back and then GM pulled the plug on bringing them over.

My brother recently sold his GTHO Phase III - a real one with all the matching numbers and ADR(?) plates. It was unrestored. Big Brother won't give out what it cost him, but I'd say it was a fair few hundred grand. He did say he had plenty of money left over from the sale of the Phase 111, after the purchase of the '67 GT. I'm trying to get him interested in one (or two) of the many XR750s that must be being retired, with them being bashed by the Indian FTRs and other engined Flat Trackers. He's got a few Harleys - it would be nice to have one or two that, in Honest Muz's words : "Go Fast and Handle Good". The mongrel's got more money than Huey, and I'm trying to get him to spend a bit of his spare change on something useful, for once ........

I loved the Honest Muz sections. Even as a boy. Especially the cartoons. The ute's always airborne. Topics never PC. Tried to find a few pictures of his trusty ute and bikes in the back with gear flying everywhere on the webs with no success because I cant be farked going through my tubs of old mags going back to 1985.

I think my favorite was "Reverso Man".

With "Marine Creatures (see the 'Eds note') names used as swear words. I think that might have been around the time some Librarian wrote into ADB complaining about the bad language in the mag, and she'd cancelled the (School?) Libraries subscription.





I welded case savers onto Honest Muz's Husky CR125 (to emulate the WR125 ones, but better) that he used for the Six Days. He brought back a jersey from Gerrit Wolsink for me, when Wolsink was ISDE-ing a rather trick XR500.
