Did just read about new rules:

EMX250 will get same age limit that MX2 has, so 23 years and you are out.
No word if they will modify MX2 age limit but if so EMX would come first step and MX2 for grownups like it should be.

EMX300 2-stroke will be EMX250 2-t (EMX 2t)

It makes sense if they do take away the MX2 rule. But I don't think they will.
If they don't a lot of guys just lost their rides...stupid if they don't change the age in MX2

Let's hope they get rid of the MX2 age rule. If they do it would be perfect.

Emx 125cc - age restricted development class
Emx 250cc - age restricted development class
MX2 - non restricted world championship
MXGP - non restricted world championship
EMX 2 stroke - 'hobby/amateur'-class (i don't mean this negative, these guys are very fast, just that it's a class for people at the end of their gp career or not fast enough for gp's)

I agree with this. But ofcourse this would make too much sense.

Yeah i would be very surprised if MX2 becomes a non restricted class. But at least put the age limit to 25 or something similar so EMX250 guys are able to race MX2 for 2 years.

The current structure is not sustainable at all.

You'd take Mewse back over Vialle surely? I can think of quite a few I'd sign instead

Raivo Dankers will ride for Hutten Metaal Yamaha team in the EMX250. The team supported Sven Van Mierden this year and it seems like they will continue to do so

Has Max Anstie managed to secure anything for 2019 yet??

Hitachi KTM will be adding a second rider to their MX2 ranks to compete in the MX2 Championships.

Didn't Hutten Metaal announce that they would dor MXGP full time this year as well?
What i heard was that they are slowly working on becoming a full effort Dutch GP team. If Dankers performs in EMX250 the next 2 years he could be in a good spot to move up with them to MX2.

From what I've heard, yes. Seems like they have some budget to spend and they like to support Dutch GP riders. I think it was told that they would do the European GP's, but I cant find any sources.

oh man that sucks for Nagl
That might be the end of his GP career. I don't hope so but it's pretty damn late now to look for a team.
I'm sure that on a decent bike he can still beat most of the MXGP field

As I wrote a few days ago, TM will be out of both classes for '19 and will be probably back for '20.
That's because they're moving to a new factory and have plans to invest on R&D.
Nagl is supposed to work at the factory and develop the new bike, looks like he's been hired and will be a TM man even if he won't race.
They should keep their enduro efforts going.

Alvin Östlund to Revo Husqvarna in the Mx2 world championship. Apparently the team will have some factory stuff as well. Very good ride for him, I was afraid his career in the Gp’s had come to an end. 2nd rider Dylan Walsh
