Watching Dungey, Villipoto, Poucel, etc its a shame there are lappers lining up on the 20 rider SX main gates instead of them. At their advanced ages of late 20's I get they don't have the grit to race full motocross series and don't need the money. Dungey looks to be in better shape than most of the current riders.
If they separated the sports (MX and SX) there would be longer careers, less lappers and better fan experience.

its a closed loop of narrow minded bigotry and they like it..
remember
sx is the best sport in the world and doesnt need any changes..
repeat...
How many NFL teams have a chance at the Superbowl?
How many MLB teams have a chance at the World Series?
How many NBA teams have a chance at the NBA Finals?
How many NASCAR teams/drivers have a shot at the NASCAR Cup ?
Should every sports league in the world get rid of a bunch of teams and players and limit them to 6 teams composed of the best players so all of them have a shot at winning? Because after all it's professional sports and everyone should have a chance at winning.
GTFO here man.
One of the things I like about moto is that it’s like a big middle finger to most of society whose greatest excitement is a second cup of coffee with their Sunday paper.
Go qualify to make the evening program at an SX...
Until then...just...stop.
Try this one, does a 15th place qualifier have a chance of beating rossi? Nope.
Pit Row
I don’t see the problem with lappers any more than a set of whoops or rhythm section...it’s all part of the race.
and speaking of sports teams never have a chance at winning. what a joke. lmao.. ALL NFL teams have a shot at winning the super bowl. and most teams have... no team starts the season with everyone knowing for a fact they dont have any chance.. even the browns had some hype to start the year with all their new players... but half the gate we know for a fact couldnt win a single race, even with a 30 second head start. shit a lot of them would even be lucky to score a damn point...
More than 50% of them never win shit.
Sure in team sports they win games, even the worst teams will get a win but like I previously mentioned the end goal of playing all those games is to get to the championship game in win that.
By your standards they should get rid of plenty of teams/players because they don't stand a chance at the championship. All those single games and single game wins don't mean anything if your team doesn't make the playoffs and move on to the championship game.
Limit the teams to a maximum of 6 with all the best players. That's the thinking OP has. "Because everyone should have a chance at winning."
but the biggest difference here is the fact that in racing when your way slower than the top guys, you end up in the way which can cause lots of different problems.. i mean how often do you hear them on the podium complaining about lappers. why are we punishing the very best? so guys who just flat out arent at the same level as the top guys can get some weird ego boost? seriously.. how is it a good thing to punish the very top guys? please explain.
Frank mate... Its a sport. there's winners and theirs losers.
Heck the guys on 20th place still have a better career path then most of us... Well having more fun any way.
Personally I always thought if you want to tighten the racing and make it so some guys arent 5 to 10 seconds a lap faster
Let them all run stock bikes ,
Factory bikes are making them 5 to 10 seconds a lap faster,
And I'm not saying the top guys aren't Better I know they are, But take guys that are already faster better Riders and then Put them on way better bikes too, and wonder why the others are getting in the way.
