Betraying my heritage as a late-70s-80s moto/surf fan. I'll never forget when wearing these brands made you at least semi-cool on the boardwalk (east coast) trying to talk to girls. Putting on OP was magic, it was cutting edge at the time.

Same in San Diego during the same timeframe. OP t-shirts, and waaaaayyyyyy too short two-tone corduroy shorts were the shit when I was a kid.

Apologies for the obvious Euro bias:

- Apico
- Clover
- Dainese
- JB
- M. Robert
- Stilmotor
- Tackla
- Wind
- Yoko

And yes I’m aware that some of these are still producing non-MX products.
Yoko is Moto! And it has been back for a few years here in Finland, Yoko Europe just started and...

My brother is head designer there, so I get to do a lot of testing for the new gear. There are some amazing products coming up and also some interesting team riders!

Good to know they have been reincarnated into a new brand. I've still got a pair of 1980s Yoko pants, and they were always great quality (as all the Finnish-made gear of that era seemed to be).

SixSixOne had some bad ass helmets. I still use the White, Black and Red Weave helmet shown in the second picture.

After JH, one of them did hang out with Max Verstappen too. Laughing

Anyway,

I once raced a team event and got a set of ARC gear.
It was a long time ago (2004), I never had seen ARC before and never seen it again.
Specially not here in the Netherlands.
No idea if it still around somewhere in the US
