Doubt it but I can't see Bengtsson going for another MXGP season, been there done that and he is way off pace atm. Kouwenberg is out with a neck injury so I am not sure when or if he makes a comeback.

I think they are doing everything to keep Coldenhoff at RB ktm...he had to leave because of Jonass. If Jonass really goes to ice one, im sure they want to keep Glenn at RB. Maybe thats why standing is probably busy to get Anstie

Anstie to Standing Construct is a great deal for both.. Max stays in GP's and hopefully gets to beat both Ice One guys on a regular basis.

Van Doninck next to Bas Vaessen could be a good match, speak the same language.
Hope both can be injury free, both of them are capable finishing top 5 regular next year.

hmmmm, not sure about both being capable of finishing top 5 regular. Both never came close to finishing in top 5 in a single moto this year. Not sure what the issue with BvD is, but he hasnt had a decent finish in 1,5 year.

Strange. I personally think that if Jonass goes to Ice1 that this decission is made after they told Coldenhoff to go. Cause Glenn is the perfect teammate for Herlings. Speaks the same language, doesn't complain and is1 of the riders who doesn't care being second rider, instead of a lot of other ego's. Now that I'm typing this, maybe that's the 'problem' with Pauls, he doesn't wanna be a second rider (behind Herlings). And at Ice1 he can be the number 1.

If it goes this way, I'm pretty sure the second rider at Red bull KTM will be a Scotshman :-)
There will be a Scotsman on an orange bike next year, but it won’t be at RB KTM

With some top guys leaving (Jonass / Covington / Lawrence) there are some spots available in the top 5.
I rate Vaessen higher than BvD, but you're right I might be to optimistic with a top 5, considering guys like Prado / TKO / Vlaanderen / Jacobi / Geerts / Watson are more likely to finish top 5.

He only wants to continue with a salary. I dont think a team like JWR having that type of budget to give him a decent salary.

That could be correct, but I don't think he has much options where he can get a decent salary.

Regarding JVH:

I don't think that he will ink a deal with a team like JWR.
He wants a 'professional" environment and participate in all rounds, not just the european ones.
He mentioned a few times already, that he will retire if there is no decent ride available.

Situation will vary depending on the rider. In MX2 a good team will cover the costs. Most of them buy the ride. How many are making money? We all would like to know. Actually many leave for nationals. Bonuses are higher.
Where is the money going?. Even Suzuki couldn't afford to be there.

It's a shame riders have to buy a ride, same as in F1, if you don't have the backup from a big sponsor or family money you won't get the same chance.

I assume the money goes to Youthstream. Could those costs be much higher than years ago?
F.e. because of circuits like Assen and Imola, because there is a lot more work and costs to build a circuit like that compared to a natural track like Lierop (which was on the calender years ago).

Those costs are definitly not for Youthstream. The Motorclub Assen told that they made a 100.000 euro loss per GP the first 2 editions in Assen.... This year might be better because of the championship of Herlings there were more people I guess.

Anyway, to race a whole season, including all these overseas races, you need A LOT of money. So especcially for the most MX2 riders they should be happen if it doesn't cost anything. I don't think there are much MX2 rider who earn a good living, besides Jonass and Prado and maybe the JM Husky guys.
In MXGP the factory boys earn a good living, but 'amateurs' like Butron and Lupino should be happy to get to race I think.

Looks like TM will be out of both classes for '19 and will be probably back for '20.
They're going to move to a new factory and have plans to invest on R&D.
Nagl is supposed to work at the factory.
They will keep their enduro efforts going.

I’m really pleased on joining RFX KTM for the 2019 season, it’s great to be back with a UK based team. It’s been an unlucky couple of seasons with injury but to get back onto a KTM and have people around me that are willing to work and get the job done is really motivating. It’s nice to have a team solely built around me, the main focus, the main rider. Nathan and Joel seem like really nice guys and they are both going to be making steps in the right direction and if i can help them at any step of the way then thats going to be great for me, for them and the team.

Pretty sure it's safe to say that Shaun will consistently be with KTM for two years then back to Yamaha and so on.

Did just read about new rules:

EMX250 will get same age limit that MX2 has, so 23 years and you are out.
No word if they will modify MX2 age limit but if so EMX would come first step and MX2 for grownups like it should be.

EMX300 2-stroke will be EMX250 2-t (EMX 2t)

Yep a lot of riders will be getting kicked out of EMX250 now. If they don't increase the MX2 age limit what will people like Weltin do when they were contracted to race that series? Maybe they get a 450 bike for Weltin but he only races the EMX250 rounds? Weltin, Barr, Pocock, Clarke, Spinks will all be out. Maybe some will move to the 250 2t class.

I am very glad to see this change though as it is making the class back to what it originally was designed for.
