Not sure if it’s true, but I heard the man that started the business was not happy with his options to gas up and get supplies on his way to his hunting lease.

Nothing I’ve been to in the states is even close to the size, selection and cleanliness of that place.

So, where is this beauty at? One day I will be road tripping beyond the borders of Texas and may have to stop there. Anything out that direction would be better than “The Thing”.

A buddy and I drove my Grandparents car down from IL to Brownwood, TX where they wintered with my Aunt/Uncle back in the mid-seventies. We were both 16 at the time and made the trip by ourselves (took a bit of talking to get his parents to agree to it; my folks suggested it). We got into TX and stopped at a small gas station for fuel. I asked the ol boy who ran the station how far it was to Dallas. "About a six pack" was his response. First time I'd ever heard that and found it funny as hell but I think he was half serious as you could drink beer while driving in TX at the time.

Nope. I'm from Alabama.

That right there is what happens when Mississippi and Kentucky natives get together at a family reunion.
I love how people from Alabama always bring up Mississippi when defending their state.

Buc-ees is a great place to dump in one of the 50 perfectly clean stalls, and then get a sausage on a stick. Other than that no reason to stop. Its mostly kids and people acting like they have never seen a Texas shaped cutting board or a 3 pound bag of chocolate covered almonds. Its only good for "Pump & Dump"

I think they get to pump their own gas now. Hard to comprehend for me though, been pumping my own gas since I was ten, sneaking down to the station on my 1974 GT80 Yamaha after school to shoot 17 cents worth of leftover milk money into the tank. Then off to the sand pit to play. Good thing that little bike had a reserve on the petcock to get me home when it ran dry. Well, 'cept for those times I flipped to reserve while having too much fun and had to push it home...Blush

I can only imagine Jeffro, a dude who can hang, float, tape and texture a house full of sheetrock( my kinda guy...no homo)head into the local gas station on his way to the track with his VP fuel jug that he bought at F'N Bucees and not being able to pump his own Hi-Test. That rant would have to top anything he has ever posted here. Wink

And where else do you find real sugar Dr. Pepper at other than Bucees? Crack in a can, chilled over ice, gives Don Julio 1942 a run for his money.

Few years ago we flew to the MEC race.

A few grocery stores and one walmart had all this Mexican Coke and Dr Pepper and all these other soft drinks like Fanta in old style glass bottles. All with signs saying hecho en mexico with real sugar.

I pass this place on the way to work in Denton. Never been in though. Maybe I should check it out!

Grab 2 of those and the world famous taco sauce, you're welcome.

I used to have my wife send me the taco sauce and spicy ketchup from there to Saudi Arabia. I brought Texas to them.
