I am really surprised you hardcore MVA fans are not pointing out how the rear wheel will NEVER break traction. Im not talking the tuning, im talking any sort of bump you could be hitting, or rear wheel slipping out of a rut because of excessive throttle use. Last time this was in place was MCM2.

That was one the of major complaints with Reflex. Ever since Alive they've vastly increased rear wheel traction, which isn't necessarily a bad thing IMO
True, but there is zero loss now. Full throttle thru the ruts, out of ruts, over bumps, around the bumps. We've long been past the reflex slipping days. This seems a bit extreme though.

How do you whip? Just played it for the first time... not impressed. Can you even scrub?
you have to master it all. I put in around 12-13 hours in the first day and stayed up from release at 11pm till 6am and have been playing the hell out of since. scrubbing is possible.

whipping is easy both stick right or left on the ramp then say you turn left on the ramp turn the right stick back the other way while keeping the left stick to the left...or vice versa

I think its worth buying. I absolutely hated this game for the first hour I played it but the more I get into it the more rewarding it is. The supercross tracks are awesome and a blast once you get the hang of the game. It is a tough game to master which makes you want to play it more. Pick it up!

Idk what happened. My full mod 450 is now as slow as a stock 450.

Yeah i have checked the tuning. I even switched it to stock then put all my parts on and still the same.

Definitely worth it. You'll probably hate it at first but once you get comfortable it's a lot of fun

I uninstalled it after putting in 15 total hours.

Outdoor tracks are terrible and all the same, also very hard to play with significant frame dropping issues. Game relies on the clutch a lot. Also relies on manual shift. Gameplay is very wonkey (riding through water with no affect, being shot off the track after someone taps your rear tire, whips and scrubs were nearly impossible at making them look real). "Amateur" series are basically utv tracks on a dirtbike with no starting gate.

The user interface is cool, opening up in free ride and going from there. I feel like they had good intentions, the game just isn't nearly finished yet. It's an unacceptable launch in my opinion.

i’m starting to think that i havnt even ridden a mod bike yet despite me “modding” them. i honestly havnt noticed a difference with anything i’ve done to the bikes besides messing with traction. my suspension still feels stock and the 450 doesn’t seem faster then the 250. is anyone else feeling this too?

and if so, do you think it’s possible that there’s a glitch and we havnt even ridden the mod bikes the way they are supposed to feel? what if what we’re doing to the bikes isn’t doing what it’s supposed to do to them cause of a glitch. anyone think this could possibly be happening?

my mod suspension and engine does not feel mod at all

have you seen kellen from start your systems youtube video a few posts up that goes over the whips? it’s certainly possible to whip very realistically. sure there’s a bunch of problems but i think a lot of us still find the game pretty fun. idc what anyone says it’s a pretty hard game. you can’t turn your direction in the air

also, there’s two third person camera settings. one of them is the weird one that kinda hooks to the side of the rider when going through a turn. the other follow camera doesn’t do it. if you’re one of those that hates how the camera moves to the side when you turn, switch to the other cam mode and then adjust your distance from the bike by holding down r1 and using all four directions on dpad

i couldn’t figure out why on some youtube gameplay the camera was doing the weird thing when going through turns and other videos it looked normal. so i figured it out lol. hope this helps someone

BTW you're going to get some very polarized opinions about the game. People seem to either think it's the worst MVA game ever made, and some thinks it's the best.

I tend more toward the latter group but there are many people who absolutely hate this game.

Thanks for this, I prefer third person much of the time but the movement of the camera really bothered me.

You are playing pre-release. You will have a patch on the actual release tomorrow, then a better update/fix soon after with even more OEM bikes.

once you turn the traction down it's better than Reflex imo. outdoor/national tracks suck (aside from a couple that are ok). supercross tracks are badass, rhythm and timing of sx is great, physics are great once you get over the learning curve. free-ride environments are awesome.

only way this doesn't knock Reflex out of the water is having to de-tune the traction and the outdoor tracks. and the soundtrack is really good.

i don't regret my purchase and am looking forward to playing more

Yep, that’s why they did the early access to gather info for release date..

I think it's safe to say there is definitely some type of bug going on. With the modded 450 I was easily over shooting jumps, but now that it feels stock I can barely get over the jumps. It's a real turd and frustrating since I was used to it modded. It even feels to me the stock 450 is now faster than when I put all the upgrades on it. I have no idea what happened. Dragging the tuning slides makes little or no real noticeable difference.

Is anyone else having issues with lost data?
Since yesterday all my progress is gone, and now every time I close the game, or restart the game, all progress is once again lost. It doesn't save anything new or load anything. Anyone?

I have seen a few people in this thread with that exact issue.

I hope this gets resolved, the only thing I can use now is a 250, as its pointless to save money to get the 450 only to have it disappear again. In other news, the stock 250 seems faster than a fully upgraded 250, and in some cases the 450 it seems.

On Xbox? I haven't seen this problem personally.

Just for shits and giggles I hopped on the stock 250f. And guess what? Its really fast like its fully modded. Meanwhile, my modded 450 is still slow as piss.
3/26/2018 5:24pm
Do the physics provide a sense of flickability, similar to reflex? Do the sticks control the bars and rider lean independently?
