And how the hell do I restart my racing career? I backed out of the first race to change some game settings and it made me DNF with no option to just restart my career...
i actually really like the game tho. if it worked right. i created a sick track lol
Jumped on raced the intro race, got a feel for it and then won the race on third re-start pretty easy.
Played for a couple of hours last night, raced two single races waiting for the final parts of the game to download got some money together, built up a YZ250F and decked myself out in gear and went racing in the 250 East Championship.
Made the game as hard as it could be, realistic AI, seperate brakes etc.
First race qualified fastest, won my heat was winning the main (Full Race) until a few mistakes got wedged took awhile to work out how to reverse then came from 14th to third, got smashed by some no name guy lol.
So far so good, AI does not look like it will be a challenge after another hour or so play.
The game itself plays unreal, I like the scale and speed of it all.
Menu Screens are a bit clunky and loading times suck.
A few small issues with the game buffering up a bit when a lot of riders are around but nothing to serious.
No issues with customising my 250F in career mode and racing it.
I was a little worried before I paid $114 Aus for it after all the comments on here, sure a few little bug fixes need to be done, but overall so far very happy.
Ill chime back in after a few days of play.
Every screen you use the Arrow pads to navigate your selections, but this one screen is the left joystick.
Took me re-setting my PS4 two times before I stumbled apon that.
Seriously why make just one screen different to all the others.
Pit Row
This game should have never been released. I have all the error messages everyone is getting plus if I even scroll up or down on the stupid twitter feed thingy I cannot do anything after that, I have to restart the game.
There are tons of issues:
- Clutch does nothing
- Tracks are all paced differently
- If anyone is around you the camera goes crazy
- All of a sudden my career resets
- My purchased mods dissapear
- If you select a sponsor it applies it to all the bikes and you can never change it
- Really back tuff blocks (some stay entire races, some you can cut under)
- Changing the bike setup does nothing
- Scale of tracks is horrible it's like I am riding a monster truck around the track
- Camera view is never saved you always have to select what u want when the race starts
- Bike setting are never saved even from qualifying to main
- Sometimes I have to run qualifying and sometimes it sends me right into the main
- If I try to turn qualifying off or on it does nothing
- I was running I think Arlington qualifying and Malcome Stewart was right in front of me for 2 or 3 laps.
Somehow I qualified 7th and he was like 22nd.
In Anahein 2 Cooper Webb was in 1st and I was sitting 9th so when he past I latched on for a few laps then I passed him and did a couple more laps better then all my others and Webb was 1st and I was 14th at the end.
I am sure I even missed some other issues. I tried going online but never got anywhere with it and have not tried again. This is so dissapointing. I am ok if there are a couple funky glitches at launch but this is terrible.
By the way find someone who have a different console then you. I did two races on a buddies XBox and it is kinda a different game as far as gameplay and visually but still has alot of the same issues. Very weird.
At minimum they should issue a statement of appology and offer whatever DLC they were planning to offer for free (After the do a variety of patches and get it to where it is at least playable.
I go to start my 450 career after dominating the east and west 250 series. Some dude I never heard of was dogging me in the East, but I still easily won all but one round there.
I decide to up the game weekend to include qualifiers and heat races. So I am at A1, and I head into qualifying, and long story short, I am getting smoked. Really trying hard, and end up qualifying 16th. Now I’m pretty stoked, because I figured 450s are not going to be the cakewalk 250s were. So I go to my Heat Race, and easily win. What the hell? These guys I couldn’t sniff the top 10 of in qualifying, rolled over in the heat races.
I am thinking the qualifying AI is the real top level AI, and the AI we get in race is broken, maybe stuck on medium or something. Anyway I hope they can get the AI sorted, because it is way to easy in a race, but damn that qualifying was fun. Those guys were flying.
Also, on which platform are you playing? You're not the only one that has experienced that error.
- The menus are really vague. Trying to search for what you need can take some time (for example, finding online tracks or restarting your career, changing your bike and rider skins in single events).
- The A.I. seems to be fast on tamed down tracks but are horrific on certain obstacles. I've noticed they mess up the on-off section in Seattle every lap. They also mess up the first rhythm section in Las Vegas every lap and they are hopeless around Atlanta. However, they are pretty fast around San Diego and A2.
- I started my career out on a KX250F which I think rides pretty solid. Then I started my second career on a YZ250F and boy is that bike terrible in handling. Turns out different bikes handle different which is a pro imo.
- Loading times are roughly 1 minute long for me on Xbox One.
- I thought maybe after completing one championship you can choose a team to ride for, like you can choose a better team to ride for after each season in F1 games. Turns out you can't. It's basically the same championship over and over again.
- The multiplayer and track creator is what will keep this game alive. Because career mode gets really stale if you have to ride with the same ugly bike graphics and loner team over and over again.
