He's next in line if Anderson goes down. And then if Barcia went down we'll have Bagget, Seely, Musquin, or Peick. It's anyone's championship in the top 8 right now.
But is that likely? Anderson is consistently killing it right now.
Yes Anderson will throw it away

More to the point. Who on here thought this would have been a topic that would be getting discussed 6 rounds in.

Major RESPECT to Barcia for the way he's turned it all round.

No. He's not very fast so he has to take people out to make a pass. Then he looks over at them in the air with his cute little "attitude". Dudes gonna have a tough go in the second half of 2018. Huge target on his back.

Well if Barcia can manage to not make any enemies (or any more enemies) while Anderson continues to give guys a reason to race him hard enough to knock him down, then the gap can be closed. It is far from over. One DNF and it gets tight all over again. Too much can happen yet.

Think RC (or another top rider) has said the championship starts when they go to east coast?

Still a long way to go. Have a feeling Barcia will excel in the east coast dirt. And the way Marvin rides the soft dirt I am confident he is not out of it yet.

Normally I would agree with you. It seems though he is just doing his thing and everyone else is imploding around him. I feel like this is allowing him to sit back and not panic like normal

And if you look at the vault only I think once or twice in the last 18 years has it changed once it's in the east. Just something RC said to psyche people out if he wasn't already killing them.

Personally...I would LOVE to see it go down to Vegas, and be a match between Anderson and Barcia. They would end up taking each other out, and hand the title to Musquin.

I find it annoying that the idiots in the booth keep up the Bam-Bam cry. Barcia has adjusted his race craft to where the derogatory nickname in neither applicable nor warranted. He's got a bit to go but he now gets it. He doesn't ride like he did when he was a kid. His approach is still a bit on the aggressive side but by no means is it consistent with the old Bam-Bam style. He just doesn't get credit for growing and learning race craft as he has.

Sort of like the old analogy whereas you can go through life fucking 1,000 of the most beautiful women in the world and never be known as a Casanova but suck one dick and.....

I'm as big of a Barcia fan as there is and I love the nickname regardless of the fact that he really hasn't been "Bam Bam" in quite some time. It kind of like my favorite college team being called Sparty I guess Smile

I believe that Justin can give Jason a run for his money before this thing is over and I look to see "Bam Bam" get a win soon.

Anderson will have a sub par race due to himself, start, mechanical etc. Him and barcia will get together eventually this year and it wont surprise me one bit if they take each other out or one of them goes down . I dont believe this cship is even remotely close to being over.

I really hope Barcia can do it now that Roczen is "out".

Never thought i would cheer for Barcia, but he has grown on me and im not really liking Andersson. Hes a douche.
Heard on Pulp what he did to Alex Ray during practice made me dislike him even more.

Yall need to cut gnar gnar some slack. He's having a rough season. Him and squirrelings are on the verge of a mental meltdown since their token kawi rider is broken at the moment.

Barcia could do it,absolutely.

There is a LOT of racing left in a very dangerous sport. Even on minor injury or mechanical issue for Anderson and it's real close.
