Best 2005 RM250

Worst 2012 Beta 450. (May have actually been a 2011, I can't remember.) Needless to say I didn't have it very long.

I’m going to go with the time period of the bikes as it’s not fair comparing new to old. My current KTM 1190 adventure bike is the most amazing thing on two wheels

I’m going to go with the best as my 1975 Bultaco 250 Pursang. Under 200 ibs and so much torque it was incredibly easy to ride. The light weight was like being on a 125. I could miss a shift and still get the holeshot

I would say the worst bike was a 1980 KX 125 Unitrak. It handled very nicely but the motor was so far behind the completion it was ridiculous. I had it ported by Pro Circuit, a pipe and carb and that was to get it to be even with a box stock Yamaha or Suzuki. Of course once you did any mods to the other bikes they would leave my heavily modded KX in the dust

My '17 KTM 150 and 250sx are so far the best bikes I have ever owned. A close 2nd would be my 99 Noleen YZ 125

Worst bike I have owned, I would say its a tie between my '15 kx450f, and 09 yff450

Honorable mention should be 2010 RMZ450. While the bike itself performed pretty good, it was the biggest POS money pit ever. Constantly had stupid little things going out on it. Almost every riding day was cut short because a seal decided to start leaking, or a sensor went out, or something else stupid

Best was my 04 YZ250F. Felt incredibly comfortable on it, handling was so smooth, easy, and it felt lighter than it was. Super balanced and a nice linear power delivery. Man I LOVED that thing.
Worst was my 03 CR85. There was probably nothing wrong with the bike but I broke more bones on that thing than every other bike combined because it was my first two stroke. I didn't know how to ride it and never started out with the 50cc, 65cc bikes to know how to ride one, especially how to jump with one. I was constantly looping out and crashing.

Very close, that's actually a '78 M207 370 'Sang...i really like the 370's. My fav is what I was told was one of the '77 factory bikes from pixs think it was Eierstedt's. It's basically the '78 370 but with down pipe and 38mm forks, fun bike to ride/race

Best I have two (one showroom, one modified):
Showroom stock: 98 KX250
Modified: 07 CRF450

Worst (no contest, hands down, the TM400 of modern bikes...): 97 CR250. What a total POS.

Best : Toss up between my 2006 KX250f and my current 2017 KTM 450
Worst : Tough to say, I have gotten along with all my bikes...I guess my 2004 KX250f

Best was my 2012 CRF450R after a solid year of finding what worked for me, having the suspension done etc.. or possibly my 03 KX250... I just 1000% loved that bike.

Worst I would have to say was a tie between the 07 kx450 and 2011 ktm350sxf the KTM I just didn’t like ever and couldn’t come to terms with it. And the 07 450 was an unreliable tank that I killed countless times.

Iv'e never owned a really bad bike, but worst would be:

2003 CRF 450...

Lots of problems all season, handled like a (full) wheelbarrow. Ironically though I had some great races on it and overall have fond memories of the old girl.

Best:

2004 YZ 250...

To this day I regret selling it. Later had a 2006 but I never loved it as much as the 04.

Best: 2013 YZ125. Still miss it, love my 2016 YZ250 but just something about the 125 I can't explain...

Worst: 2001 YZ125. It was the worst because of how clapped it was. I was a dumb 13 year old and it had YoT graphics so I thought it was sweet. It was held together with wood screws and zip ties.

Worst - 1992 KX250. The motor had grunt, didn't turn very well tho, and I'm pretty sure it was made of recycled tin cans. I called it a Kawasackashity.

Best - 1997 YZ125. Felt like I could do anything on that bike. I still have it, and probably always will.

Not sure if it's my favorite ever but right now it is.
My least favorite was my 06 kx250 smoker, great engine but horrid turning. I spent more time picking that bike up off the ground than riding it.

Yes I stand corrected, the 78 was the first for the blue frame, never rode a 79 although my friend had one, painted the motor ford engine blue, I rode Husqvarna in 79

My best was a 97 KX-250. Racing a CR-500 for a couple years got me spoiled by low end grunt and the 97 had a great low end that felt like a mini 500.

My worst was a 200 KX-250 solely because I hit a false neutral between 2nd and 3rd (wtf? there should be no room for one there) on a jump face that left me swimming in the air Chad Reed style, 20 feet off the ground.

Worst 97 CR250 vibration through the frame rattled my fillings every time I rode.

Best 2018 YZ450 I shoot a load every time I ride her.
