Credit to Barcia

I haven't always been the biggest Barcia fan but I think he deserves credit for riding clean and mature in Houston. When Roczen went to pass him I was thinking this could be it..... He rode hard, clean, and didn't give up! After all the negative posts about his riding style I think he deserves props for maturing as a rider and a person! Personally I hope to see him and Coop on the box at the same time, that would blow the "pig haters" mind lol!

He deserves massive amounts of praise! To dig himself up from the well that he has been in for years is a huge achievement.

And this is perfect for Yamaha. Just imagine what would go on in that camp if they would only have Cooper Webbs results to lean on.

I totally agree. I have not been his biggest fan, but he's done exactly what he needs to do at this point in his career. He's riding great and avoiding drama.

Definitely becoming a bigger Barcia fan every week. Racing has been better to watch with him in the mix for top spots. Gotta love his attitude about his performance as well...

I was never really a fan before but I'm pulling for him now, nice to see him back it up with another podium.

+!
Good to see him back up there and putting in another solid weekend.

Yamaha are surely going to keep him. Not to bag on Davi, but if he was fit and rode the past 2 rounds I have doubts as to whether he would have been able to get the results that Barcia has got.

He is putting in the best fill-in ride I have ever seen. Usually fill-in guys are happy to be top 10. Backing it up with another podium last Sat night was EXTREMELY impressive. He dug deep to re-pass Seely. How can you not pull for a guy doing that.

Tied for 2 in points, has led laps in both rounds, now way Yamaha lets him leave when Davi gets cleared.

He has attributed his newfound success on a program that has put an emphasis on his mental state. Going from listening to his critics and doubting himself to not giving his critics a second thought and keeping his focus on knowing who he is and what he is capable of. Maybe Webb needs to get on that program....

Good to see Barcia putting in some good results, hope he can keep it up all year!

I'm not so sure that is a "fair" (har) statement in this case for many people. He didn't lose fans because the results weren't there. He lost some fans for making douche moves (and unsafe to other riders) on the track. I have no problem supporting all of my favorite riders as long as they aren't being douchebags with their riding. To credit Barcia, he's grown up a lot recently and has put in the work. He also knows that when you are legitimately in the championship hunt you shouldn't crash yourself and other people out of the race when trying to make a pass. Before this season (but after his rookie season) It was like he knew he couldn't keep up and played bumper cars as a strategy to try and keep up. Now, he doesn't have to. Good for him! Great to see him having success.

He really hasn't been the bad Bam Bam in years. He has had the potential all along but he has fought injuries constantly leading up to and during Supercross season. I've always been a fan and held out hope that we would see how good Justin really is once again. I am really enjoying watching him so far this year and believe he will eventually get on the top of the podium. Go Bam Bam!

Barcia has been a favorite of mine, I was bummed for him for the past few years he was the guy getting top 5s with RV, JS and dungey around something has been in up with him for the past few years my guess he lost himself abit mentally, I'm glad to see him back.

Going off the post race conference he's had some self realization and changed himself for the better and now he's mentally in the right place.

Good to see him wanting to change his identity. addressing the whole bambam thing it's childish let's hope they stop calling him that in the both.

Seemingly only goes fast when he has to, but good to see him back up front.

Personally I have always liked Barcia. Slamming past somebody is racing to me, so that doesn’t bother me.
He isn’t hurt now, hasn’t been hurt to bad for awhile is really all he needed. That pass back on Seeley was him coming of age, he dug down deep and now he knows what it takes again on the 450.

His starts are really good, 2nd off the start at A1 and holeshot in Houston....If he can continue with that and ride without losing his mind he'll have a great series...

Barcia seems happy in the pits, and glad that he is racing. Judging from his smile as he gets on his Yamaha he is having a great time. I'm a Barcia fan now.

Hate to jump on the "never been a fan, but..." wagon...but I thought Justin made huge strides in riding like the professional racer he is instead of a one-trick pony that BamBam was. I too was impressed with the clean way he rode against Roczen when he could have pushed it and taken a chance of taking them both out. I wish him luck, and hope that he can prove that he's worth whatever JGR is willing to pay him.

Seriously he was one of the best amateur riders in the country, ever....
Was always hoping he can get that level back in the pro's....
Rooting for him.

love to see Barcia killing it, especially on that big blue turd.

also gotta love to see the hater's pulling the "well he woulda been 5th if Tomac and Musquin were there, duurrr". even watching the race my best friend couldn't stop hating him for all the Yamaha talk. i was like, dude, let it go, he's riding great.

Spot On!

It's good to see he has been reading Vital about not revving a 450 but riding it a gear high.
