Anderson won’t do it. He will get anxious and make a big mistake or two. He has never had to deal with the real pressure of a 450 title. So his aggressiveness is going to subdue him and eat him alive. Kenny will win the title with Barcia 2nd. Barcia is surprisingly consistent when he feels good.

In my eyes, this is THE question after this night of racing.

Tomac's out, Musquin's out. The path to this title is open for Jason. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of racing left, I know that. But Jason has the advantage right now, so the big question is, can he keep it on his side ?

What he needs to do now is get away. Gain as many points as possible before Roczen can go 20 min + 1 lap full speed (if he can do that again btw) and before Marvin and / or Eli makes a big come back.

Will he be mentally strong enough to hold that new color on his front plate ?

We'll get the answer soon enough.
you said "..there is a lot of racing left" ...so lets wait for half away through the season before picking a potential winner.

I believe he has a good shot. I think Rozcen has the slight edge, but JA may gain confidence the more he can beat these guys. Getting thirds has to wear on you after awhile...if that feeling leaves he could gain that confidence.

I think MM needed to play the consistency game. He is too weak at the tracks where he can't whoop jump to afford to miss a race, and that's a bummer.

I mean someone has to. Unless he and Roczen both crash out, one of the two will bring home the hardware.

Jason said in the post race conference that he needs to stay cool (or words to that effect), especially when the triple crown races come up. Going to be hard for them doing 3 good starts in shorter mains, bad start = not much time to get through the field

Barcia is no different. None of us really trust h can keep it together the whole year right? But he is riding fantastic. He rode thru what looked like some setup issues last night to a fantastic finish.

Roczen... what you’re seeing is what you’re gonna get. This is who he is now. The question really is, how long can he handle being 75% of his former self. Heck, he coupd limp this to a title if Barcia & Ando falter.

Moose & Eli... I expect them to come back and win races. Lots of them. It wouldn’t surprise me if this is a 5 way battle going into Vegas.

(Bubba has to be kicking himself right now).
He set the fastest qualifying time race 1, you know when literally everyone was healthy and riding. Hes improved both weeks n hasnt raced in a year. He has a lot more in the tank.

I think where I will be wrong is with Moose & Eli. They both might have injuries that cause them to pack it in for the year. Shoulders have a way of lingering.

I hope Im wrong about Kenny. He’s already shown more than what some were telling me during preseason testing. So there’s that.

Dislocated shoulder? I feel like he will need atleast 2 weeks. Tomac bruised his shoulder and missed 2 weeks. We will see i guess

80% of where he was before his injury yes. As has already been said he may never get back to where he was . I think he will get some wins but the days of him laying 30 seconds on the field may be over. Time will tell. I'm interested to see how he'll look outdoors . Longer tougher races but not the same timing and precision . He may be ready to dominate again there. To answer the op's question for sure Jason has the speed the question is can he eliminate the problems and mistakes that have always been there for him. I'm going to be optimistic and say yes. I hope so at least.
Maybe he will be back 100% maybe he won't. This was his second race since the injury and one thing is for sure, he is not yet at the level he will be for the rest of his career. He'll make lots of improvement, just remains to see if he will reach the same level again or not

As for Jason, sure he can do it. He belongs up there even when they're all healthy

He can do it. But i have Roczen as the favorite. It seems like Roczen is in this for the long run, he has been very impressive in my eyes.

Marvin is still in this if he can race A2(i doubt it).

Roczen will go easy for first 3 rounds, maybe even 5 first. You could see him pacing himself. Would not be surprised if he turns it up to round 5 if Anderson wins A2 and round after.

Anderson also show more maturity, should be a good year.

I think Roczen will make it to the 82-86% which will be enough to put him on top. He is only going to get stronger and more comfortable.

Anderson is a boss and i'm really happy for him to be putting it all together.

i just get the feeling watching him that he is always right on the verge of throwing it away. he rides right on that fine line of out of control.

also, Roczen looks to be riding under his ceiling. he's very smooth and clearly not pushing it. it will be interesting to see if he gets that edge back, but right now it's fast enough to win. great job with that heat win and 2nd in the main. what an amazing comeback.

lol I like your positive attitude towards him getting the championship, for me its a little too soon, I want to see how he handles being put under a bit more pressure when Kenny starts pushing it a bit more

I don't think we have seen Kenny racing at 100% yet, and to get 2nd while not 100% (which Jason looked like he was as was Justin) is pretty impressive and smart.

Kenny should be the favorite here but seeing the way he holds his arm , I just think it's not clear if he can get back to where he was . But , maybe this season he won't need to.

Yeah, I believe Jason can do it. He's exciting to watch, like peelout says...he always looks a tick away from crashing pretty much all the time. If he can stay on the good side of that line he can do it.

The sad thing is, if he does there will be a 20-page Vital thread with people saying the only reason he won was because Tomac and Musquin were injured.

Not a chance, @A2 McCarthy handcuffs Webb's GF to the HRC rig, and Cooper wins the championship by ripping off 10 straight main wins and a couple of top 5s...........STAMP. IT.

Yea, those are the same tards who never gave Dungey any credit for what he did over his career. Their opinion means sh*t. In my very humble opinion, that is.
