Very cool! It seems like what you went thru built character in you instead of kicking your butt! I say that as I’m laying in the hospital right now from a 3rd heart surgery. 6 weeks, I’ll be riding!

Good stuff Bobby, thanks for posting!

A few weeks ago I got together with Jerome Heiberger. He rode with us at the OTMX ride day at PC. He hasn't ridden much, maybe once or twice since 2006. He rode three different bikes. By the third session he had open blisters on his hands, nasty! He grabbed some electrical tape, and taped up his hands so he could ride some more, ouch!

He had countless stories of the old day battles with you, fun to listen.

He also pulled out an old Polaroid picture he had of John Roeder wheeling the Marty Tripes claimed Honda in his backyard. Cool stuff.

Bobby M was fast as fuck back in the day! If he'd have stayed the hell outta Texas he'd have been roosting up front for many years. Heiberger was another NorCal badass on a Maico who was always tough, just like Shultz, Magoo, Klassen and a few others...

You might have raced some of the tracks that were around here.

Gene Manhire, Tim Worth, Tony Lucente and Vince Turner are some of the guys I remember. Did you race these guys?

Klassen bros, Madera raced there couple times, raced mountain high I think it was called too.

There were 2 tracks in Madera back then: Madera Lakes and Lil Okie. Lil Okie is still there. Mountain High was a great track. I might have saw you there. Lots of racing back then.
