LR Yamaha YZ65
Though in saying that, our relationship with the local KTM dealer is pretty good, and there really is not a Yamaha dealer super close to where I live anymore.
Wait and see I guess.
FYI on the weekend at the track in practice for the 85 class there was 1 KTM85 and 3 RM85’s the price of the Suzuki 85’s is a winner.
With then new KTM's at $5995 having another competitive option would be great. We tried the KX85 and my kid hated it and I hated working on it. I work on them for friends and every time I am reminded what a POS they are. The KTM/Husky 85's are great bikes & easy to work on but I am really hoping for the new YZ85...........I really hope they don't screw it up like Kawi did in '14 though.......
My kid is about to turn 10 and I'm looking to move him to an 85 this summer just due to his size. He's a big kid for his age.
You may see the new 65/85 in 2019 or 2020.
Pit Row
He was so big on the 65 that he would get super sketched out trying to jump it, now of the 85 he's launching stuff he would have never even thought about on the 65. He also got a late start into racing, he's only been riding for two years and has one complete arenacross and motocross season under his belt, this is his second season racing AX.
Of course we keep it fun and I don't put any pressure on him. I'm just happy he enjoys it so much.
Edit: didn't pay attention to the number. Seems pretty obvious now.
talk about a blown opportunity
Either way can't wait to see that bike
