But only have themselves to blame. They've had numerous opportunities to make this happen throughout the years but for whatever reason it never did.
Remember when they said they were going to replicate the 2017 tracks for Encore, but replicating the stadiums wasn’t possible? Then Milestone drops of a video of Roczen in US Bank Stadium. Lol
I think this is why All Out went more all vehicle-ish. They saw the writing on the wall. But in my conversations with the head of Nordic I begged them to work hard to get the official license. I said, if you don't, someone else will. And here you go.
Just kinda makes them look like they didn't really want to do it because it WAS actually doable.

I thought that was cool, especially considering the game is called Monster Energy Supercross. It shows they were going for as close to full authenticity as possible.
Well, I seriously doubt he's thrilled to have not only a new competitor in Supercross but also one who gets the official license that they never did and partners with Feld on an official game. I can't imagine him doing cartwheels about that from a smart budiness man's point of view.
But whatever you think I'm cool with.
Who am I kidding...they probably have some guy walking around in the pits at every race getting everyone (teams, riders, sponsors, manufacturers) asking them to sign a release of some sort and they just sign off without a thought in mind haha..not really but who knows.
As for the look on Ken George's face....he's probably thinking...how the hell did they license all of this...or he knows first hand what it would have cost. MX vs ATV has to be looking at this and thinking...you know what an authentic Supercross game would yield X amount of potential sales....an offroad game with a broader demographic could yield 3X or 4X the amount of potential sales. If I'm a developer why would I keep providing to a bitchy niche market....They will get what they get...but do you honestly thing non moto people are going to pick up reflex or any dual stick mx game and understand how to play it? Heck no...Milestone has some mafia money or something.
What Milestone does understand is that releasing a new version that is slightly tweaked each year is easy money. You will see SX2, SX3, SX4...MXGP4, MXGP5....Ride3, Ride4, Ride 5...and who knows EnduroCross...endless opportunities to rebrand the same game and sell it each year...they may sell a small number of copies of one game...but they will sell that same game over and over again each year...in different formats...to the same person. The same buyer could potentially buy 3 games (MXGP, SX, Ride) every year indefinitely.
I've said this before, but at the end of the day....I'll play this game here and there but the MX vs ATV game will probably be where I play a majority of the time. I know what I will get out of Supercross the Game...I imagine MX vs ATV will be different than Encore, Supercross, Alive or Reflex....they show drastic changes...sometimes not great..but I think change is good.. no sense in playing the same damn game just because the characters are authentic...I make all the authentic rider's bikes anyhow for Reflex.
Another question I have is, will the game allow us to free ride in all of the environments. One of the few frustrations about Reflex was that you could not free ride the SX tracks. Sometimes my friends and I laugh ourselves silly just thrashing all around the SX tracks looking for transfers etc.

Also I think I remember you from the old mx vs atv forums. I used to be on there in the untamed/reflex days as dirtbikedude409.
I do agree that rainbow/thq hasn't given any of us what we have wanted for well over a decade. Looking back, everything looks and feels so cheap. MVA Unleashed was the last game that was really on or above (below?) Par. Everything since has felt like a reboot of a PS2 game.
On that note, I did read and post a few pages back about the free ride aspect of the older games like unleashed and off road fury. I did burn a ton of hours on that mode back in the day. I think having something like that adds a lot to a games longevity, rather than just putting in motor after moto. If anything, it's kind of analogous to riding a dirt bike in the real world.
