Where will Gajser stand at MEC ?

Edited Date/Time 10/15/2017 2:52pm
Simple question, where do you think Gajser will end up at the end of the MEC ? Top 10 looks obvious (I think), can he top 5 ? Podium ? Can he win a race or even better, the overall ? You say...

Well inside top ten every Moto he doesn't crash. Possible podium overall with Moto win
That's my guess. Whoops are the only thing earth shattering to euros about sx, and the mec won't have them 5 feet deep like atlanta

Comfortably inside top 10 without any crashes. But he might cartwheel into the stands, who knows.

EDIT (jus saw the starting list AND watched the SMX hot lap): Win (barring crashes). Starts will be the key.

The only people who I reckon can definitely beat him are Tomac, Anderson and Musquin. Tim is really good on hard pack, excellent at keeping low on jumps, and a good starter. They are the 3 key things for this event.

Here is the entry list BTW

Also, look at the bikes listed^^^ god they're a joke

It was a huge failure. I would say that it was barely 5000 people in the arena.

But it was in the wrong place of Germany(Gelsenkirchen). The only thing that matters there is Schalke and the tickets for SMX was really, really expensive.

Indeed, it was a joke.
Stuttgart wouldve been way better..

I think he can win it with some luck on his side. He is an awesome starter. If musquin, tomac and andersson gets a bad start and Gajser holeshots. I seriously think he can win it.

Last year was 'his' year, this... not so much!

Inside the top 10, top five would be great, a moto inside the top 3 impressive.

Injuries have been a problem this year, but he seems to be back in form now. He has such a great speed and mentality of a winner that he won’t settle for less than podium.

It was not a good year for him but he is clearly back up to speed. He won his quali easily last weekend.

This. No Dungey or Roczen means a top 5 or podium is way more likely. Crashes, or lack of, will be key tho.

Top 5 in MEC is going to be really tight, all about starts and no mistakes. Millsaps and Craig could also mix it up with Tomac, Marv, Andersson.

Tomac, Craig and Gajser is going to be at the top in timed practice. Tomac will win it, but not all three mains. Gajser will win at least one.

Ok, so Barcia, Tickle, and Millsaps (I know, not racing now due to injury) have decided they are not comfy on their new rides and have decided to ride their race bikes from last year under their new sponsors banners. Blink

Whose in charge of accuracy checking a public statement. Sheesh, not that hard to get it right.Wink

Did you guys watch that Superole video? Gasjer looks pretty damn fast there (and yes, 'comfortable' too). And he's coming into the race with the one thing a lot of our "normal" Supercross guys don't have right now: enthusiasm. God forbid the kid win it. If he does, americans who've never known what it is to feel truly inferior regarding moto, are gonna taste the same humble pie kids like me, who came of age in the 70s, did, when Jonsson, Mikkola, DeCoster, Weil, Hallman, Robert, Kring, Geboers, Aberg, etcetera, etcetera, first started coming over here, smacking us around, grabbing all the prize money, kissing all the trophy girls, and going back home smug and contented. Those euro guys were like mystical, mythical, Gods to us. And here we go again. Outdoor motocross was supposed to be the thing american racers willingly sacrificed in order to become the undisputed worldwide kings of Suoercross. It was an approach we were told was superior and had logic at it's base. The question now is: are cracks in that theory starting to reveal themselves?

Tracks super easy compared to a real SX track. He could do pretty well.

I think he will stand at the Honda rig in the pits and will stand/sit on the bike during the race.

Race win, no
top 5 in a race, maybe
Lead a few laps, maybe
Top 5 overall not by own position but by inconsistency by others.

Tomac and Musquin.

No way he is beating either of them.

with good starts he could be a surprise , but needs to stay on 2 wheels ... i think top 5 , dont think he has the speed to beat Tomac,Musquin and Anderson
