Hey Travis, clean the air filter on the RM-Zilla and drag that beast to the Rhythm!

Great addition the event, I’m sure a lot of the guys on Ken’s list are wondering, “ what kind of cash does the winner get?”

would have to be worth it for CR and RV to haul those two strokes to California...

On pulp they got stank dog to go and was saying how the winner gets ten g's to win the twostroke class. And that any one who goes will be taken care of and expenses payed.

Red Bull must be funding the majority of his contract as I can't see Honda being too enthused about their top riders two stroke antics. However I, like others here, think it is A OK.
Just cause the big guy at Honda said it a time or two dosent mean everyone agreed with him then or now

Actually, It was personal with Mr. Soichiro Honda. Even before he actually started Honda Corp in the 40's he was quoted directly on the Honda website as saying he hated even the sound of two strokes and wanted to remove them from the face of the earth. Ironically they made some of the best 2 strokes you could buy for a few decades. I owned many Hondas 80's and 90's. Besides, it was a choice. There are several other factories still bringing in 2 strokes and Honda could too.

But, back to KR and RBSR. Kenny is the man! I like that he's not the corporate zombie and gaining fans by the day while not even racing. I am way more excited to watch now. I think it would be even cooler to see the 2 strokes just thrown in with the 4 strokes and just add more brackets, but the factories don't want that so...

And I agree. It would break the internet if CR and JS both came out on smokers to battle! Whooooo!

Will the smokers be running after the big guys? It will be interesting to see the times if the track hasnt deteriorated too much.

It's been shown live on Red Bull TV online in the past, so you can watch it from anywhere in the world.

So it sounds like Reed is actually in for this event, which begs the question.. is he no longer a Monster athlete?

Sure is, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, KTM, Husky, etc make a lot of money from 4 strokes sales and parts...like it or not, suck it up...

He's still wearing a Monster helmet in the video Elle posted yesterday, so I'd say he's still with them.

One of the cool things about Red Bull is that they don't seem to shy away from showcasing other energy brand athletes. Remember all of the emphasis they put on Josh Hill and the Alta at last year's event?

this is why Kroc is the best guy to be the face of the sport. He has energy and style that is much like that of pastrana and mcgrath, back from the 90's when this sport really grew.

why? simple

he understands that while this sport requires being a top athlete, its also immensly fun and why 99% got into this sport. and having that fun is essential to keep this sport going.

this would be freakin awesome to see. hope it pans out

From the Hammer spot on Pulp that he's "checking" something, which sounds a lot like he's got backing to ride this or that, but do you mind if I ride my old works replica bike at this event.

I hope they say yes, it's a win for everyone.

IIRC, the 2 stroke was for the Aus SX so maybe he is simply checking logistics of going to RBSR and then shipping the bike to Australia?

as cool as the two stroke class is i dont see any big names besides Chad Reed (who according to the promoter on Pulp is 100% locked in), and Ronnie Mac (who is a debatable big name) showing up. It would be awsome to se JS7 but, lets be real he aint showing up.

Just a little off topic, has JS7 ever lost this event?

There is so much more anticipation for this race, than there was in 2006 when Travis was going to try a double backflip at x-games. I watched x games for 5 straight years thinking he was going to do it. This is a genius way for Ex-pro riders we all love to come out, make a few bucks, and keep their sponsors happy! I'd love to see Mc2 and RC4 go at it. OR JS7 and GL8. Someone pull DV12 out of retirement! Who knows what happened to Tyler Evans? Get all the OG's out there!

Would be great to see most of the 250 and 450 class guys bring a two stroke to run the smoker class so we can get some real data on how the 250 2T stacks up against the 450's with elite talent riding. Won't be a head to head comparison, but we can compare the lap times
