We all have our favorites. We all have those who aren't so much favorites. Who cares? Why can't we discuss it?

Personally I'm not a huge fan of Wilson because of his stupid comments about " why would my parents ever move to Canada... " ( because they were trying to make a better life for your family you spoiled entitled little whiner - instead of being upset maybe be thankful....... ) and his horribly FAKE Scottish accent.

I can understand people not liking my post. I actually thought of not posting it but I was bored at work and thought "what the hell" I do want to say that I never said anything about hating a rider. Just riders I'm not particularly a fan of. Like how people dislike sports teams and such.

Not at all. I'm just a fan of the sport and watch all the races and keep up with interviews, social media, etc. You get to know the guys personalities. Maybe it would be different if I knew these riders in person. Just judging off what I see through all these platforms. I feel like having opinions on riders is fair.

I think Dean Wilson has matured quite a bit since those earlier mistakes.

Also, met him when he was still a factory guy (the first time). He was at the USGP at Glen Helen. He was up there with me at the top of Mt St Helens. I was flagging. Some guy with a Glen Helen staff shirt came up to watch some of the race from Mt St Helens, not some one I recognized after riding, racing and going to all the big races at GH since 93. This guy tore in to Wilson, yelling at him and telling him he can't be there and all that. Wilson did not say "Do you know I am an AMA champion, he didn't say word one. He just humbly climbed to the other side of the fence where the common spectator was supposed to be....he could have flashed his credential and been a turkey, but he was humble.

I am absolutely just stating the obvious here. Go Youtube any interview or video with Dean from around 2008 - 10 and the guy sounds COMPLETELY different than he does now. Its just obvious.

Chisholm and tickle for me. Ever since Chisholm tried to dive bomb Reed as a lapper I've disliked him. And I know he earned it a long time ago but the fact he still runs number 11 erks me.

Tickle has bugged me ever since he had Cunningham and I forget who else purposely road blocking Tomac at Vegas so tickle could take the title.

Have to laugh at anyone saying they don't like this thread like anyone actually hates or wishes misfortune on a specific rider. There's guys you're fans of and guys you're not for whatever reason, part of being a fan of any sport. Just because you're not a fan of a certain rider doesn't mean you have anything against them.

I think a better idea would be to start a thread titled "Least favorite types of Vital threads."

At the top of that list for me would be threads like this one.

I don't honestly think there's any greater waste of time and energy than thinking about all the reasons why you don't like something or someone.

Can't say I hate any rider, but I wouldn't be upset if Friese retired. Can't believe he hasn't been mentioned yet. He's pulled some seriously boneheaded moves in his career.

Barcia is like that too, just faster. When he roosted the lapper getting medical attention after they crashed together that was the end me pulling for him in any way.

So true. He raced Walton in '05 and he didn't have an accent back then and neither did his sister. His parent's yes but not the kids.

I don't dislike him. He's pretty cool in my book a part from the whole MXDN thing.

With that said accents do change over time. Take a look at old Reed videos and recent ones and you'll see it's not as thick as it use to be. Hang around people with accents long enough and you'll be caught talking similar without even noticing it.
