Not everybody knows about this JACKASS. How about spreading the word, and show a little compassion for those that have been Fucked. I was the guy that recommended Scooter take his stuff there.Years ago George was a descent guy.Times have changed. Addiction issues I've been told. Most addicts justify there actions. It always someone else's fault. Would like to hear that he compensated his customers for SHITTY work. Would LOVE to hear about retribution.

Look....I aint here to cause a fight , but what I will say is this....

There is a thing called " The fucking internet "....and with the fucking internet , you can do research on anything and everything. On AF conversions , most anyone with a brain will be able to tell that Service Honda is at the top ( if not the the top ) at doing this exact kind of build. Someone wants to " Cheap out " and go another way....., take your chances on someone you obviously did no fucking home work on , then yes , what TXDirt said holds true....you fucking deserved it.

On a project like this , you better do the most research you can , and then be prepared to pay for it. If you did all the important steps , and still came to the conclusion that you were willing to give MPS money.....then yes , you deserve that fucked up frame and everything else that goes with it.

People research what the best handle bar grips are.........but not a full , custom AF frame fab shop? Really?

Fucking stupid is an understatement.

A lot of hostility there Jeffro. Let's go over this. It's not my frame. The idea was to further inform other fellow mxer's of MPS's poor workmanship. But feel free to contact my friend Lex on the Ebay Ad and tell him he deserves the screwin' he got. Lex was keeping the build of this bike on the the down low, til this summer. He didn't research it well enuf. (Service Honda was not doing frames at that time.) Really, does almost 19,000 posts give you the knowledge to tell someone they deserved a screwin'. How about you share your vast unlimited knowledge of handlebar grips, and maybe you also have knowledge of where and how to buy straight 2X4's. The thing I was most impressed about you was your knowledge of how an injured Pro Mxer should propose to his girlfriend. I will not respond again to you further drivel.

Injured pro mx rider proposing to his girlfriend? I have no idea what you are talking about on this.

Look , again , no hostility from me , and if there is some , it goes towards MPS and the outright total screwing people out of their money. That last post wasn't directed at you , but more towards anyone who uses MPS , without doing research , and then complains about it afterwords. I'm not mad at you or your buddy ,As I actually feel bad for you guys , but God damn it , how can someone dive into something like that without research? This information is on probably every MX message board on planet earth , going back 5 - 7 years. Again I feel bad for the dude , but I simply don't understand the lack of research he did , for a project like this.

BTW....I use TLD grips. Smile

It does. But it's crooked too , as it was built from a gunny sack and then sprayed with bed liner. It does have a cool MPS sticker on it though.

I have one of Georges bikes, the service was fantastic. I did do a few small modifications, but the bike has been everything I'd hoped for. I've done two full off road seasons on it now and haven't had an issue.

BTW, I didn't pay him a cent, he just kept the 4T engine and running gear out of the bike. That was his payment. The bike was delivered to my door in Oz in just over a week, all I had to do was put it all together and the bike was RTR.
I've seen the bad reviews, but in my case I had a good experience dealing with MPS.

People must not try very hard.

Why not take a peak at the thread from Vital around 3rd from the bottom of the first page.

Take a look at them welds/grinding in the FIRST POST OF THE THREAD. I probably spent 6 months researching these bikes before buying one.

Are you ready to send him a down payment yet?

Are you referring to the "AF CR500 rolling chassis... thread? Because that is the only Vital thread that pops up....and there are no photos in it. Are you ready to eat your words yet? My two strokes are steel frame, and that will not change.

His stuff is terrible. I know about it, not because it is something that I have considered, but through osmosis from being on here for quite a while. However, not everyone exposes themselves to as much moto info. I imagine it wouldn't take a whole lot of digging to find out he may not be good to do business with. Having said that, I dont go into potential services doing exhaustive searches on everything. We would all spend more time searching than doing. At some point, people still do stuff based on some faith in a fellow man. Everybody loses in these situations but no one "deserves" it. Don't get me wrong though, he should be outed for his terrible work and practices.

What is somewhat surprising to me is the person, with the very extensive explanation as to how bad it is, is selling it that way. I get why, and mentions fairly benign fixes for the purchaser, but I would question if the fixes are that easy, why doesn't he do it and keep it? After all, he wanted a conversion in the first place. Just my .02 cents.

It's his M O for outing the poor workmanship of MPS. He could not get any resolution from MPS for the poor work.

Sounds like another satisfied customer!

"Mps racing kx250af 2 stroke conversion frame. This frame was built for me by George Fanelli of MPS Racing. From the excellent craftsmanship, you'd never believe this bike was built in a dirty corner of a tortilla factory, that MPS racing calls its fab shop. The frame is an 07 kx250f, and is made to accept an 05-07 kx250 2 stroke engine. The motor mounts don't line up too well and will require some work, but George Fanelli says you can oversize the holes if need be to make the mounts work. The head stay is crooked as a left-wing politician, but good ol' George says you can tweak that into place too. The modified front Y section isn't all that square, but I'm told by MPS racing that it will be just fine. George was such a great guy to deal with, he was nice enough to slap some relocated radiator mounts and coil mounts on this gem for me. In all seriousness, the frame will need an actual real fabricator to fix the issues, but it can be fixed, and this frame is selling for less than what George charges for his marvelous work ($2000). You can contact him with any questions regarding his handiwork at four one nine, 351 fourty seven oh 7. If you don't want to talk over the noise of tortilla-making equipment, you can contact this metal-master at mps500af at g mail."

It's all over... search "bad af500 frame".... just about every photo that shows would be an MPS. As much information as there is on the net, sometimes it's what description you look for determines if you find it or not.

Go to FB and search the group CR500 Conversions... TONS of info...
Asking other people with EXPERIENCE helps as well.

Case in point... the other 20 people in this thread that already know MPS is a hack.

What's your bike FTB? I'd like to see pictures. Just because it's held up, essentially doesn't mean it's good... it just hasn't broken yet.
And you said some modifications? ! Why would you have to modify anything?!
