That ride was mythical.

Tomac is riding RV style at the moment and just puts the bike where he wants to and maintains crazy speed, whereas Chupa yesterday was ridiing the track 5th gear pinned like it was flat.

I remember BB at Hangtown in his PC days accelerating down a drop off the side of a wall and not really understanding how anyone could do that. Then to 450s and i thought that was lost or was just a 250 thing that he would never get back.

This series has had more excitement in three rounds than the last three years.
Everyone was reducing a snoozer of a season. Including me. Never been happier to be wrong.

If my memory serves me, he wrecked at the beginning of the season last year at Hangtown, and was out for a long time.,now he is finally healed and mentally back too,..

Bad wrecks frag a dude for sure, hell look at Tomac, he still aint got the speed he had before that crash at Thunder Valley a year ago,..doubt Rockzen will ever be the same, look at Webb after that crash,..he still aint right.

He was mega unhappy with his bike set up the last couple weeks. He said he did a full swap on his suspension and basically went completely in the opposite direction. What was done I don't know, but he clearly wasn't feeling the KTM at GH or Hangtown. MX is so mental that bike confidence is just as important as personal confidence. The kids got a pair though I'll give you that......watching some of the lines he alone has taken over the years just leaves you shaking your head. Love watching the dude ride. As much as I loved Dungey, I enjoy a leader that balances right on that edge of totally outta control.....much like RV did. This season just gets better every week.

Blake has always been one of my favorite and I can't say the 2nd moto Saturday really surprised me. I also think he really likes the KTM and it looks like he and the bike are one. Sure he could probably do it on any bike but let's give credit where credit is due. The KTM is the bike to have.

I LOVED when Blake said during his post race interview..."our goal...was to break him.." referring to his mindset in racing Tomac. It was a classic Hannah-esque line. As much a mental rider as Tomac seems to be, I'd bet money that Baggets little stab got into his head a little.

I loved that, too. Did you see the look in his eyes? No hesitation. No timidness. He looked like someone on top. Yeah, yeah, I know, much easier to do just after a win. But even after wins, I don't often see other riders displaying that kind of confidence, except from Tomac. But we've seen that with Tomac, his mental game is not where it needs to be. If El Chupa really IS back, this series just got a WHOLE LOT more interesting. Let's just hope BB can stay healthy.

That "I wanted to break him" comment, and his body language in the interview, has moved BB to the top of my favorite list.

That was back when Barcia was booking it too. Unreal how Baggett blew up that corner. Watch the pass in slow mo. No clue how that berm doesn't give out, how his bike sticks in the corner, how he went from going North to west north west so fast. I can't say I've seen someone else take a corner at that speed successfully. Barcia should have just pulled over that moto after that.

2011-2012 Baggett was my favorite thing to watch. Wrist injuries really hurt him and he wasn't able to find that magic even though he was a very solid top 5 guy in 450s. If Lakewood really marked the return of el chupacabra, we are all in for a show. Nothing is more exciting than Baggett going complete savage late in races.

What this GIF fails to capture is just how gnarly steep that drop-off is. It's a very intimidating part of the track and El Chupa absolutely BOMBED it.

Baggett has something that very few riders have ever possessed: the ability to go faster as the race wears on. That makes him dangerous. We always hear that starts are so important, but in Blake's case he can often run down the leaders.

Hes prob one of the greatest finishers I've ever seen. He just hasn't been able to replicate the success he had in 250's to the 450 ranks.....but now that the whole field knows he's back there.....everyone (Eli) is gonna be looking for him late in the race. Confidence is a dangerous thing.
