I caught up with a very motivated Tristan Charboneau this week to get his thoughts on his season in EMX2 so far and to get the inside story on his results that don't do his speed justice.

One of the better interview I've read in the last couple of weeks. I was wondering about that guy. He definitely was on my list of title favorites after seeing Sanayei win motos and overalls last year

I don't think McCread is MXDouche...but they do have a lot in common...just can't do an interview without baiting the MXGP vs US Nationals hook...

I thought that was a great interview actually...always wondered what happened to Charboneau. I liked his insight into the differences between MXGP and the Nationals since he has done both.

I was surprised by his short tenure at Geico because his results were good for a rookie, then I heard some rumors that his commitment was being questioned because he supposedly missed some scheduled test days with the team. One thing you don't do is keep your team in the dark, especially when Mike Larocco is your team manager.

I wish him well. We've all been young and missed work when we didn't want to be there. Or he was dealing with injuries. But still need to keep your employer informed.

That was a really good interview. I hope he stays for 2018! Like he says its been rough but he has the speed.

I thought it was a good interview, Charboneau got a raw deal last year. I don't think Geico did him wrong, he was a victim of circumstances. This helps keep his name out there, despite whatever the interviewer did or didn't do. This helps Charboneau so... All good.

Incorrect. It wasnt an interview was never claimed to be an interview. It was clearly an opinion piece which used the quote from racerx and credit was given to racerx in arricle. Its still on the site.

Anyway this thread is about Tristan. I was keeping an eye on his laptimes during the race at ernee and he was matching the front runners at times even tho he was in the pack. Hopefully thats the bad luck out of the way... with a start he will be battling at the front.

So it wasn't an interview? The way the piece was written was as if he had talked to Roczen...either way it was nothing but clickbait "journalism"? complete BS move that was never acknowledged nor apologized for...because of that Mccread has zero credibility and is at the same level as MXDouche.
