I drank the koolaid. I paid the $50. I tried to watch hangtown on my mobile last week off wifi and my celluar connection and wasn't very impressed, to say the least. I did at least get to see some of the moto's which was better than nothing. A lot of buffering. I actually went to Glen Helen yesterday and saw the races in person, then decided when I got home it would be awesome to re-watch the broadcast so I could catch what I missed in person.

So far this NBC sports gold is crap. Its not worth the money. The streaming quality is poor, the sound quality is terrible (the audio comes through pixelated and not in sync with the broadcast), and why are there the repetitive "COVERAGE WILL RESUME SHORTLY" intermissions?! We paid good money to watch the moto's UNINTERRUPTED. It doesnt take a whole lot of editing for NBC to eliminate the commercial breaks and tie the beginning and end of the breaks together. Why should we have to fast forward through this crap? Why is it when we want to watch the moto's you're greeted with coverage will resume shortly? If its live I get that, but the replays should absolutely not be this way. Its terrible!

Ive also found that if you try to watch from the website, you have three or four different sign in steps you have to go through just to get to watch the moto's. Once you're signed into your account you're then taken to tennis, track and field, horse racing, gay midget porn and gawd knows what else. If I signed up for a motocross account, once I sign in shouldnt we be automatically taken to the moto page? Also when you watch one moto, there is no link back to the main page to see the next moto's. You HAVE to close that page, then go back through and sign in AGAIN and repeat all these steps again.

WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS. (yes I called NBC and emailed. so far no response)

I literally had none of those issues using the gold app on Fire TV

I think the "coverage will remain shortly" is after the finish and between motos. So far the app is great for me. I have MAV but rather use the app and watch in HD with no commercials.

You do need a good internet connectio I've noticed but haven't had a problem except some from Hangtown when we had a bad storm here.

I actually have the total opposite experience. I LOVE the service and want it forever. It's soo much better than having to deal with all the channel switches and making sure you have them all in your tv package. It sounds like an issue on your end to be honest.

$50 is less than 1 ticket to a SX. Suck it up buttercup.

My subscription has been working great, I honestly wish we had something like this for Supercross as well. I think internet connection or cellular data connection is definitely to blame for the poor sound quality and buffering.

I've only encountered the "Coverage Will Resume Shortly" screen directly after the moto (before the podium interviews), or right before the moto start. Coverage seems to continue throughout the motos uninterrupted.

Totally agree about getting it for sx Randy.

Btw, that coverage will resume shortly message is almost certainly intentional. That's what they put up when they have nothing to show or talk about.

You might want to just stop and think about that for a minute... go on, give yourself maybe 2-3 minutes to dwell on that statement. If you're unsuccessful seeing how asinine it is, I'll help you out...

Works absolutely perfect for me. $2 a Moto to watch live and on demand uninterrupted when normally we can't watch it over here, sounds pretty much perfect to me. If you're having all these issues, it's definitely your end a d not a problem with the app itself. Never ceases to amaze me what people will complain about. $2 a Moto!

Of course it's intentional. The guys in the booth have to have time to get a drink, piss, plan something extra, whatever.

Same. In my experience the coverage and quality has been excelled (Even HD over my DSL...). Money well spent if you ask me.

Attention: The OP was using his CELLULAR service. CELLULAR SERVICE. Not wifi. Not broadband. Cellular.

OP has grossly unrealistic expectations and shouldn't bother writing a bunch of dumb words without thinking twice before writing a bunch of dumb, nonsense words.

Between sessions at our track on Saturday AM, me and the boy watched GH qualifying on my iPhone while sitting in the shade. It got us all psyched up to go out and single everything on the track. Then we watched Moto 1 on the laptop during lunch. NBC Gold working fine for me! All moto, all the time at our house.

Internet connection is the key I'm sure...ours is horrible too . Problem is we would stream Sx for free and it was great, now we pay for outdoors and it's horrible. Oh well. I can't do anything about our internet connection. It is what it is, garbage...lol.

You're f*cking idiot. Stop using HJC helmets and get tested for CTE. either that or accept that your room temperature IQ limits you to 3rd grade reading comprehension.

I said I used wifi and cellular, aka switching different forms of service to eliminate broadband connection issues. Your only read what you wanted to see, and not the entire statement. Its called confirmation bias. Moron. I then said Im having similar issues at home. Home meaning you know, hardline connection, not my cellphone.

There's no debate that I'm a f*cking idiot, but at least my NBC Sports Gold doesn't buffer and comes in crystal clear.

What are your internet speeds? I've literally had no streaming issues on 4g or a cable modem connection.

My 4g speeds at home are around 40mbps download. My cable modem connection is 10mbps download.

Go ahead and run a speed test. I think you're trying to put the blame on the app instead of your internet media. It seems most people have no issues with streaming quality and is isolated to your internet connection.

Also I don't have to close the page and sign out. I use the back button and am able to select the next race. You seem to be having a lot of isolated issue that involve just you.

it works.. we watched last week in a hotel at the GP.. once you get that the comms is tied to the TV feed, and not us, its all good.

Bargain too.

I'd be fine with it if my standard NBC sports cable provider login worked but now I'm just f'ed and have to double pay these money hungry people if I'm out of town and want to watch the races. Dumb. Oh and all these people who are stoked, you do realize it was free last year to watch online if you took one minute to use the neat cool thing called google search? Half was always free on pro motocross and the second half was somewhere else. Good thing that method still works as I boycott paying this gold junk.

Sounds like you should get your internet connection checked. I didn't even read your whole post all I had to read to was "buffering." I think the app is great and it runs flawlessly on my cell phone. Sounds like you're in the minority on this one, so maybe that should be a good clue that something is wrong on your end, not the apps.

Yep. If I could get EVERY SX like this I'd have zero need for cable.
