I drank the koolaid. I paid the $50. I tried to watch hangtown on my mobile last week off wifi and my celluar connection and wasn't very impressed, to say the least. I did at least get to see some of the moto's which was better than nothing. A lot of buffering. I actually went to Glen Helen yesterday and saw the races in person, then decided when I got home it would be awesome to re-watch the broadcast so I could catch what I missed in person.
So far this NBC sports gold is crap. Its not worth the money. The streaming quality is poor, the sound quality is terrible (the audio comes through pixelated and not in sync with the broadcast), and why are there the repetitive "COVERAGE WILL RESUME SHORTLY" intermissions?! We paid good money to watch the moto's UNINTERRUPTED. It doesnt take a whole lot of editing for NBC to eliminate the commercial breaks and tie the beginning and end of the breaks together. Why should we have to fast forward through this crap? Why is it when we want to watch the moto's you're greeted with coverage will resume shortly? If its live I get that, but the replays should absolutely not be this way. Its terrible!
Ive also found that if you try to watch from the website, you have three or four different sign in steps you have to go through just to get to watch the moto's. Once you're signed into your account you're then taken to tennis, track and field, horse racing, gay midget porn and gawd knows what else. If I signed up for a motocross account, once I sign in shouldnt we be automatically taken to the moto page? Also when you watch one moto, there is no link back to the main page to see the next moto's. You HAVE to close that page, then go back through and sign in AGAIN and repeat all these steps again.
WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS. (yes I called NBC and emailed. so far no response)

You do need a good internet connectio I've noticed but haven't had a problem except some from Hangtown when we had a bad storm here.
$50 is less than 1 ticket to a SX. Suck it up buttercup.
I've only encountered the "Coverage Will Resume Shortly" screen directly after the moto (before the podium interviews), or right before the moto start. Coverage seems to continue throughout the motos uninterrupted.

Btw, that coverage will resume shortly message is almost certainly intentional. That's what they put up when they have nothing to show or talk about.
You might want to just stop and think about that for a minute... go on, give yourself maybe 2-3 minutes to dwell on that statement. If you're unsuccessful seeing how asinine it is, I'll help you out...
OP has grossly unrealistic expectations and shouldn't bother writing a bunch of dumb words without thinking twice before writing a bunch of dumb, nonsense words.

I said I used wifi and cellular, aka switching different forms of service to eliminate broadband connection issues. Your only read what you wanted to see, and not the entire statement. Its called confirmation bias. Moron. I then said Im having similar issues at home. Home meaning you know, hardline connection, not my cellphone.
The app works great for me. Super-pumped on moto right now.
Oh, by the way, I signed up for YouTube tv and now I can watch MXGP!
Pit Row
My 4g speeds at home are around 40mbps download. My cable modem connection is 10mbps download.
Go ahead and run a speed test. I think you're trying to put the blame on the app instead of your internet media. It seems most people have no issues with streaming quality and is isolated to your internet connection.
Also I don't have to close the page and sign out. I use the back button and am able to select the next race. You seem to be having a lot of isolated issue that involve just you.
Bargain too.
