Thanks Cooper, your bike was one of the few that inspired this build!

Side note, I finally got some blue axle blocks, Motostuff is presently drawing up the rear rotor and patiently waiting on a set of blue Ride 22mm offset triple clamps.

Nice! Glad you liked it.

Ahh axle blocks...I ran into some issues there with mine. I'll do a build thread of my RM soon and show you some details. Looking forward to seeing the rear rotor, is it going to match the front?

You've made me realise I can never say I am 100% completely finished with the bike, still things to do LOL. I'd love to do the motor and trans like yours.

Yes the rear rotor too match the front!

Tracking down a set of blue axle blocks for this thing was like digging for dinosaur bones!

The first time I rode this thing I was blown away by how smooth the transmission shifted! It is one of the best performance mods you can do IMO.

Can't wait to see your build thread and details!

Side note, no build is ever complete! hahaha

Hi Guys,
Thanks to the friendly arm twisting of Vital members kwenske21 and Dbrunski125 we are making a short run of our Blade rotors to fit the rear of the 2006-2011 RM 125's and 2006- 2012 RM 250's . They are in production now and we expect to be able to begin shipping them around May 26th.

We have 6 people that have committed to purchasing rotors, we made 10, so if you'd like one, be sure to order soon.
Place your order here-

There you will also find our Front 280mm BLADE kit as used on Kyles amazing build!

Ok. I'm in for these rotors! I've sent Scott an email.
Thanks to Kyle, dbrunski and any others that have helped to get this ball rolling and thanks to Scott for looking after the RM community, what great service yet again, the guy is a legend.

Bike is insane Kyle...We want to see these blue clamps on!

I finally was able to sneak a ride on this bike. Had to jump on it when kwenske321 wasn't looking. I'm sort of a maniac and tend to rear tires when I ride on the concrete. Anyway, I've literally ridden a countless number of bikes and I have to confirm what he said earlier about the transmission. He told me it was amazing, which I figured was cool, but after finally riding.........it's slicker than cum on a gold tooth. I mean silky smooth way beyond my expectations.

Out of respect, I didn't really hammer on it like I normally would, but the bike feels really strong while still showing me that I need a carb tune session with it.

Effortless shifting and monster 2-smoke power.....this thing was a job well done.

Sounds awesome, you sure did a great job on this motor.
And that transmission sounds.....well...very slick lol Laughing

Damn. Bike came out great !! That tank.... Cool

I'm doing another facelift on mine right now, should be done with it in a few weeks. (New wheels to accommodate the new forks/ new graphics and plastics/ new clamps and a few other small changes for the new look) The graphics are done and I'm going to get the new plastics covered next week and get a couple pics, before I swap the suspension and wheels. ** which are currently for sale in the classifieds ** Tongue
I never have the patience to take pics of my builds, but I'm going to post a few pics in a thread on here of before / after pics of the RM 250 and my RMZ 450. There might even be a possible MXA reshoot in the future.... Wink

Very nice bike!

Cool build.

Did you end up using one of these metering blocks in the carb?

We did not, but I've been meaning to talk to kwenske321 about this very topic. The factory carb on this bike uses a special gasket between the block and the carb body which is held together by tamper proof bolts. However, they were not tamper proof from me as I have the necessary tools to get them out. Early on in this build (the first time) the carb was in pretty bad shape so I pulled the bolts out and cleaned everything up which obviously ruined that gasket. I didn't think it was a big deal until we tried sourcing the gasket and learned that it does not exist (at least not from every single source we tried). There is a gasket similar on ebay, but it does not work. Basically we ended up with a ruined carb as I could not put it back together without this gasket.

This was the entire reasoning for running the Lectron carb on this thing during the first build. I personally liked the Lectron and still think it has extreme potential power wise, however it was impossible to get the airbox boot to seal on it 100%. Because of this, the OP found and bought a carb that was new in the box and that is what we have been running since.

I'd like to talk to the guy that posted this billet metering block and see what he as to say in regards to the gasket. My guess is that this billet piece was made out of sheer necessity for the same reason why we couldn't get it back together. It was likely a response to not being able to reuse any carb that had been torn all the way down for servicing.

That block comes with a new gasket. A very nice one at that.

I have one on my YZ and I'm very impressed with it. I was just wondering if you had done this mod to your RM and how you like it.

I recommend it.

Quick update on the MOTO STUFF Blades for RM-
We ran into a little glitch during production that put us a couple of weeks behind. The rotors are now at laser marking getting our logos applied. Should be able to ship the open orders early next week.
Thanks!

Just FYI on the aluminum RM tanks. We keep them in stock so you can have them in just a couple days. We are doing a new section on the website soon that will have them on there, but in the meantime you can call 208-354-2777.

It depends on the Euro exchange rate for the day, but right about $569 shipped in the lower 48 states as of today.

Pre '04 CR/CRF, RM 2t and KX 2t all use the same brake hanger. I have 3 RM 2t (04, 06, '06 RC edition) and have had a 95 and 01 CR250 and 99 KX250. You could swap the brackets interchangeably.. I did

Suzuki may use the same brake hanger on the RMZ I have no experience with the 4t

I was not getting a full sweep of the rotor with the early cr hanger.
Brother....can you fill me in on exactly what hanger that is? You mention RMZ , but what year? I'm going to be getting a hold of Scott at Motostuff and getting two front discs , but was wondering what hanger I may need. And gawd dang it....still drooling on your bike. I myself have my RM stripped down right now....total re-do! Once I get some more stuff here I'll do a short make over thread. I've decided to ditch the RC theme and do my own thing this time.
