2017 Outdoor Championship predictions...

Why is this up for discussion? No Kenny and a healthy Tomac? 18+ Moto wins for Tomac. Easy title. 250s I don't even know so many fast kids.

Tomac if he rides at his 85%. If he goes above that and wins by 30 seconds a moto like he used to he'll probably crash out and then Webb or Musquin.

Webb will be battling for wins, Anderson as well.

The obvious choice would be Tomac, but I don't think it's going to be as easy for him as people think.

Anderson is really not getting much love. I expect him to be pretty fast this year.

I don't see Ferrandis winning a title, but I have high hopes for him this year. He was better than I anticipated in SX and MX comes more naturally to him. Would not be shocked to see him winning moto's

I think Baggett gets a surprise win at the 1st round. Probably been putting some serious motos in on his mx track the past few weeks. Eli takes a round to iron some kinks out then dominates the rest of the season.

Tomac is the obvious choice for the 450's.

Smith in the 250 class. He made huge improvements in SX from last year to this year. If he has improved that much outdoors he will be a consistent contender for wins.

The 250 class is going to be insane. Forkner, both Martins, Ferrandis, Savatgy, Cianciarulo, Osbourne, Plessinger are all capable of winning multiple rounds.

250: Toss Up- Osborne, Forkner, Plessinger, Ferrandis, AC. Jmart will get some wins, but I don't think he will win the title

I think Tomac is gonna hit the outdoors with a vengence... and then hit the ground again. Which really sucks. I see Marvin or Dungey in it for the long haul. I like Baggett or Anderson for the dark horse picks but I don't see it being the entire series. I 'm gonna say Dungey on the title.

I like Plessinger's style for the outdoors. I think he gains speed as it goes and starts clicking off wins. Zach has too much inconsistency for me. I really like the kid but he can't get consistent starts and this will cost him a DNF sometime in the series. I also see AC getting his stride. I think AC has enough good people in his corner that he could be a real threat for this. I am gonna aim for the fence and say he pulls through. Cianciarulo for the title.

I predict Tomac for the 450 title. Dungey was already struggling to find motivation for supercross. I think he'll have the same struggle in outdoors too. Will be close though.

In 250s I think Jeremy Martin crushes everybody like he did before last year. Had he not been sick last year, I think he'd be going for a four-pete.

Tomac 450 easily points wise, I hope to see Webb, JMart and Marvin win some motos or races. I don't think Dungey's gonna hang it out, but hope he does.

250 is open...I expect a lot of moto winners, Zach, Plessinger and AC have to be the favorites. Can't count out Forkner, Troy Lee guys, or Ferrandis for sure. Should be an awesome series!! Calling it Zach Osborne all said and done (but would be happy with Plessinger and AC winning it too).

1. Osbourne (Fastest guy in class IMO)

And...those are my choices for the outdoors

Seems strange for anyone to overlook how fast Baggett was in Supercross this year, and NOT think he will be a contender for the outdoor title. He's always been vastly better outdoors than in, and yet he was often right there with the leaders this year in stadium after stadium. He's also one of those guys (like Anderson) who rides with a chip on his shoulder. Guys like that tend to be more willing to hang it out a little and "scare" the consensus favorites by matching their other-worldly pace (this year, Tomac, obviously). Can't help but add one last thought: damn, I with Kenny was healthy and would be getting a chance to defend his title.

I mean if he rides like he did in SX YES! Haha. Who do you think will challenge him?

I predict 40 guys will line up in both classes and 25 of them will get lapped at each race. This has got to change.

I think if Dungey can keep motivated he could win the outdoor title. Eli can't change his personality this quickly and if he gets pressure he will have some bad races. MM will be fast and BB4 will be a contender.

I think the 250 class is a bit more competitive. I like Forkner but he needs to mature a little but he is the future of Motocross in my opinion. I don't see JMart doing it this year, he didn't look competitive at all indoors, he is better outdoors but I just don't see it. Osborne could very easily win it all. AC looks good but he isn't consistent enough to put a season that long together.

250. Forkner on a long shot. I just like the kid.

With this Ric Flair quote in mind, I will take Dungey in his last championship. And I will take Joey in the 250's. He is pissed and is going to straighten his race craft out.

I'd put my money on bagget as being the break out 450 rider. Don't think he is ready for a championship win but he sure has looked fast n smooth at gh lately and has some good line selection.
