I don't see Dungey, but I can see Tomac going. He'll be pretty hard to beat at Matterley. Now he's got a contract signed with Kawasaki, he's super fast, his bike is working, I don't see why he wouldn't go. Anderson and Tomac? 250 = who ever wins the outdoors. Martin probably.

I think Osborne is the obvious choice. He knows Matterly Basin and he could very well be the 250 champion this year considering how much better he has been this year in SX.

But like some of you have mentioned. Matterly will suit the US based riders, just like Kegums a few years ago(Latvian Millville). So i don't think Covington will be on the team if JMart, AMart, Osborne and Forkner are healthy for MXdN.

Covington needs to stop making huge mistakes every race and start focusing on finishing where he's capable. It seems as though he's got the speed and talent to run up front but rarely makes it happen for an entire moto.

Imo Covington is getting better and better, and he still has some MX2 years left so i could see him becoming a title contender.

However, the guy is 8th in points, has a bunch of tracks where he isnt competitive, and when he is fast he has a tendency to makemistakes. I dont see why heshould be the pick or even should be considered.

He's too inconsistent. Tossing away the lead yesterday is a perfect illustration. However, he is definitely a threat now in MX2. Perhaps next year's MXON?

The USA hasn't sent their best team since 2011. If they do that this year, Tomac, Dungey, and whatever 250 rider will be the representative. Team USA never drops a 450 guy down, but a team of Webb on the 250 with Dungey and Tomac would be nearly unbeatable.

AMart rode for Puerto Rico in 2013 and 2014, he rode for USA in 2016 so there shouldn't be a problem for Osborne and USA.

He was running away from Jonas till he made that mistake....and on a gnarly track. He's showed some flashes of brilliance mixed in with some inconsistency....but lately he's been showing more brilliance and less inconsistency! I love watching him. I'm a big fan and I agree with your post!

you can ride for any country you have a passport for, been a few riders that have ridden for different country,

Dean Wilson has ridden for GB and Canada, A Mart as mentioned above,

Since the Puerto Rico is a US Territory and uses US Passports, and US rider can ride for them, I would not be surprised if there is a team from Guam at the next US held MXdN

He is getting better all the time. Showing elite level speed more often than not but I would think of a few guys over him but not many. He will know the track, it being like an AMA track is so over blown I really don't see it. It's not super tight like the French or Italian MxDN races so I guess that means AMA?

There's worse teams than the US that wouldn't pick Covington. He's riding well this season, but he'd have to be dominating MX2 to even be considered I think, he's too inconsistent.

I think he rides over his head, maybe because the suposed 2nd rider in the team beats him (so far at every GP but Mexico) have you seen how hard he races TKO? Everytime he is near TKO it seams he has to block or hit him.. just look at the start in heat 2 in latvia!

That makes no sense? 40 fastest riders in America are the fastest in the world why hasn't USA won the MXON in recent years.... and plus some of the "40" riders are from other countries.
