MX 1: top American in 450's
MX 3: 2nd American in 450's
MX 2: Top American in 250's.

I don't care so much about the names, resume's, experience of the riders...whoever raced the best in the summer should get to go.
Kinda makes sense

J Mart

I don't see anyone beating J Mart of the outdoor title. I know his supercross season has been horrible but he's a two time champ on a new team that actually backs him and a great bike, gonna be a long summer for the other guys IMO

My guess is Tomac won't do it but will do the other stuff he did last year!

What if Covington wins MX2 this year? Does he have a chance at making the team? He would already have proven he can beat majority of the euro lites riders
Yep

I can't wait to see a Tomac/Gajser batter now that Tomac is more comfortable. Was it in Latvia that Tomac first rode the 450 Honda and had that ridiculous race where he was catching everyone?
Tomac/Gajser won't battle, just in the qualification. Slovenia will not make the big show

If J Mart is doing well and firing, send him. If not, drop Cooper down to a 250. The Yamaha hasn't changed and they would still have his settings. But also, who ever the three riders are who actually want to go,will do the best.

Ferrandis, AC, and Savatgy will give JMart all he can handle.

I have yet to see any of them give him all he can handle for an entire season.

I have seen JMart win back to back titles against tougher competition.

Tomac
Webb (Anderson if not Webb)
Osborne or Forkner (AC)

Dungey: Why the hell send a guy that is in a downward spiral, zero motivation and on his way out most likely for 2018?
Jmart: Starts man, you need starts in MXDN.
AC: To unreliable at this moment, but a stable outdoor and he is in. Has good starts and is more senior now
Anderson: To unreliable over time but since it is a one (two) day event and he did great last year he is a wildcard

Why is everyone saying Dungey? He's gets uncomfortable way too easily. Hes a great rider, but MXON is not for him.
Should be Eli, Anderson, and JMart.

He's also helped win it 3 times before though, and I think he'd (indeed all the top American riders) be very good round Matterley. I say this every year but this is arguably (as things stand now) the best opportunity for Team USA in quite a few yrs. The track is very National-esq. Probably the most AMA like track on the GP circuit.
