You're joking right? Do you not think that they figured in the extra time on the track into his training program?

Can you imagine all of the "SEE!!! The strategy worked!!" Dungey knew what he was doing the whole time! If that were to happen, this title would be a joke. Got his ass handed to him by Roczen, Roczen got hurt and he wins one, Tomac gets it together and begins waxing his ass on a weekly basis. If any Dungey fans come out and say it was all in his plan....... go ahead and check yourself in to a facility because you are effing stupid and delusioned.

It's close enough now it's almost a restart of the series between Tomac/Dungey. Prior wins, prior mistakes don't matter. I don't see Dungey phoning it in if his back is up against the wall. Tomac will have to take the championship I don't think Dungey will give it to him.

RD will lose the points lead over the next 3 rounds and then with 2 rounds left (Utah?) Eli will get caught in a first turn pile up that will leave his bike disabled and Eli will go into Vegas down by 14 points.... RD will win the championship and those haters that do not kill themselves will learn how to spell asterisk and use it every time they post ....forever.....
Forty nailed it

We should put an asterisk on the title either way because Roczen was mopping the field

The chase without the chase. Dungey needs to win one or two in the next five, and stay on the box. Tomac has to dominate right to the end and has no margin for error. What an awesome finish to one of the best series in a long time (aside from KR's crash).

People who don't think Kenny's crash effected Ryan are delusional. Let's look at the big picture. Not taking anything into account, Ryan is most likely in the last 2-3years of his career just based on age. Now, the facts are, he has made a shit ton of money, and is as healthy as you can get as far as MX racers go. With him breaking his neck last year, team mate Jessy Nelson paralyzed, and ex team mate Roczen nearly losing his arm, Ryan no doubt is thinking "why risk the future of a healthy life (60+ more years) for the chance to win another title. He already has won everything there is to win and to possibly end up spending the rest of his life in a chair or not being able to ride bikes with his kids has made him ride within his means. I have no doubt in my mind that he has another 10% or so he could click it up, and if this was a different situation, and he was going for his 1st championship, he would probably kick it up that extra 10%. But looking at the big picture, why risk it? I sure as hell wouldn't.
I agree with you 100%

I noticed that the Dungey/Millsaps "battle" was starting to pull up to Musquin later in the race. If Dungey would have gotten around Millsaps quicker, he certainly would have gotten second. I think Musquin was slowing up waiting for him.

There is a lot of speculation about this. This season reminds me a lot of 1992, except its not the guy with all the race wins that has the hurt knee Whistling

No, Tomac has been a different dude since he found a setup he likes on the Kawasaki.

Ryan said in the press conference last week that he needs to start winning races.

I think he's keenly aware of the points situation.

He also said he went the wrong way on his bike set up last week for the main. Some riders think/worry way to much. Maybe his arms are just getting beat up the way Tomac's were at the beginning before he found the sweet spot?

Nothing like being tight because 3 laps in you realize this thing is jacked and then as guys are walking away from you that makes you more tight.

Question for the next press conference: When you guys say you missed on the set up of your bike, what is it that you missed? Rebound, compression, sag, bar position?

What is it that's messed up? The tire not sticking to the ground? Rebounding off the jumps to much?

I'm not saying you're wrong or anything but how does a guy who has been known for probably being the fittest dude out there look winded after all these mains? It's not like races in the previous years never amounted to 20 minutes. He looks winded after heat races this year.

On the podcast show they discussed he needs to pay Marvin what he would lose by letting him by. It's that serious.

Yeah I don't see Dungey being able to stop it without a gift from Tomac. He's just not as good right now, not impossible Dungey's a great champion and sure as hell knows how to win races, but he's had to do that for the past few weeks and hasn't really been there. And if I'm anyone other than Tomac and Dungey I'm getting a head start on outdoors because I don't see anyone beating them.

ok, you have to ask yourself this VERY important question: between ryan and eli who is more likely to loose a shit pot of points in 1 occurrence, in the next 5 rounds. this is going to be a very exciting conclusion. fuckin shame KR couldnt be with these guys, would have been epic!!

I didn't say winded, I said gassed, as in "out of gas, running on fumes"

He came into this year from a broken neck I think it was. No way he trained the way he normally does. Broken bones any where in your back leave you with pains for a loooong time, even years that can affect your sleep and when under fatigue can show up in different ways. That injury could even be affecting how tired his arms get. In the press conferences he sounds and acts beat or gassed to me and when riding later in the mains he doesn't seem to have the same fight like he did in years passed. MooseCan tracked him down and dropped him this week. When have you ever seen that?

He honestly looks like RV did. Obligated to finish a contract with zero interest in it. Burn out, scared of injury, who knows, but he doesnt look like RD of past. He looks like RV in the GP's. putting in just enough effort to please the sponsors but not putting his health or future on the line for them anymore.

Maybe a poor choice of words on my part, I just mean a mistake from Tomac is the only way Dungey's winning this title IMO.
