I'd give my left nut and all my extra sprocket bolts to have enough talent to be a top 15 supercross rider.

Why would he come back? He doesnt have a team paying him millions to go roll around the track for a few laps then pull off saying hes uncomfortable. He obviously wasnt enjoying it then, why would he do it on his own dime? I dont think the guys a front runner anymore. I think he knows that too

I have completely stayed out of these threads but as another SX season is heading towards the finish, I think the real mystery is ... why don't we see any of the top MX media sitting down with James and asking him straight up what is going on. This is clearly a topic of interest in the sport, yet month after month goes by and everyone is left guessing.

Or are interview requests being refused?

Guy B, any light you can shed on this?

I have said this for the last 5 months. Can you imagine if this was the NBA or Nascar and one of the icons just vanished. You would think somebody could sit down with him and find out the real story.

I really doubt his plan is to show up at Hangtown but I really think that would be better than him showing up to any supercross. I just think he will never be as sharp as he needs to be to go as fast as his wrist will turn that throttle in Supercross, things just happen too quick. Obviously outdoors things happen quick too but he can get in shape to run a 30 minute moto and I think having 30 minutes to do his work would be better for him IF he is in shape. But honesty if he doesn't want to race again more power to him to make the decision on his own terms and with his health. Would love to see him out there, though.

You guys ever seen the tv show lost?

Thats whats going on here i think. Were in the hatch and there must be a new js7 thread made every 108 minutes or the place will self destruct. Its all just an elaborate experiment. Dont do it.. do not give them what they want.

Does that mean we're all dead and in purgatory?

Baggett has hinted multiple times that he was not happy at Suzuki. No one bats an eye. James indicates he isn't happy at Suzuki, and everyone says it's just James. Funny how that works under the same exact tent.

Not to fan the flames of another Stewart thread, but I figured it's better than starting a new one.....
From today's "10 Things to Watch," after noting that Malcom had people over to ride with him:
In recent years, Malcolm rode daily with his brother, James. That may not be the case this year, and it’s interesting that Malcolm noted that his confidence improved after having a few training partners. We’ll see if it translates into this weekend

Suzuki might be like it's been hinted that Kawasaki is: "there's the bike...ride it...don't do anything to it". I've read statements by Jake Weimer that Villopoto wasn't even allowed to make many changes on the bikes he won all his championships on. He just found out how it liked to be ridden (rear wheel steering) and adjusted his style to the bike...instead of the other way around. Maybe Baggett wanted to change a lot of stuff, and Suzuki wouldn't let him. I don't know...

Gotta give the guy credit for keeping the checks rolling in while not racing for what? 4 years? That is some Hall of Fame shit right there.

It means I think it's ridiculous that probably the most famous rider ever keeps quiet about why he's not racing and if he ever will be again. I like straight situations.

Why are you trying to be a dick Huck? Yes, I think I'm ready to move on with my life and stop crying myself to sleep every saturday beacuse JS didn't show up. Thanks for asking.

Why do you think that he owes you anything? It's really none of your business, is it?

Not trying to be a dick, just wondering why people think they are owed explanations regarding professional athletes.

He certainly has the right to go silent the rest of his life. After all it is his life right?

But if you consider his position in this sport as being one of the top Superstars ever, staying silent would come with consequence. Why? How many times has he thanked his fans for standing up for him? He acknowledges them on a routine basis. Then after his amazing career to drop off the map is kinda a middle finger to everyone who has supported him. Does he have that right? Again, yes he does. And all his fans have the right to wonder "What the Heck ?"

I don't think anyone on this site thinks James owes them anything. But if He has counted on their support during his career then his own conscience should answer that call.

Maybe having the racer adjust to an unfamiliar style (like rear wheel steering) is the answer to dropping to the lowest lap times. Racers and even coaches can get stuck in what they are comfortable and familiar with rather than what will result in the best outcome. If Suzuki and Kawasaki are right, that would explain all of their wins.

No reports of James at his Freestone Spring Championship event either.
The guy is off the grid.
Anyone ever see any photos of James talking to ex teams/members he was associated with? A big reason JS7 is awol is people don't want to put up,with the shit that comes with him he always burns the bridges.
He will go down as the fastest flake of all time.
Always posts he's here for the fans blah blah blah. Truth is he doesn'ts give 2 fucks about his fans as he is proving right now.

In many ways this is a fitting, perfect way for James to retire and cement his bizarre legacy; in a flakey cloud of mystery.

Reminds me of a younger James Stewart at the start of every Outdoors season while he was on L&M.

Sounds negative but you reap what you sew. At this stage I'd just like to see him be honest, if he's gonna retire, do it in a dignified manor and the fans will have his back. He could learn a lot from Ken Roczen when it comes to respecting and being open with the fans.

He has life and there is life after Moto! Can't wait for the book to come out. A few years ago he said he was going to be writing a book and he would be able to speak freely about his career and the industry and how he was being treated at Kawasaki! I think Reed mentioned writing a book also.

However recently Weege went to roczens house and got a full on video interview (which was great and is currently on racer x website)..... I wish that was possible with james
Well...Media kept reporting that either Mookie or James wouldn't talk to them. Meanwhile, some guy from the UK rolls up to the practice track, finds Mookie and asks him the questions everyone wanted to know.

Seeing the habitual Jimmy haters whine and cry that James isn't updating them via social media is much more bizarre than anything James is doing. James is playing golf. You people are sitting here grasping at straws, because he's been away from racing since Millville and you have no material to shit on. It's weird.

no, its not bizarre at all.

if tom brady just disappeared from football, gave no interviews and only one update vaguely promising a comeback, the same thing would happen.

people want to know what the hell their favorite rider is doing. james has every right not to inform us, and we also have the right to think hes a jerk because of it.

If that is true rv's accomplishments are that much more impressive.

You wanna know whats WAY worse than multiple Stewart threads? The dudes that go out of their way to open thread, and post about how there already is a Stewart thread.

Hes one of the best. People are going to wonder, possibly often whats been heard? Get over it already.
