Cairoli is on a mission! Shame he went down at the start.

Cairoli is flying. Too bad he didn't get the starts today and crashed at the begining of both motos, he's the only rider that can match Gajser right now.

Speaking of top 5, he is nearly there Smile

Looking to come down to Tim and Tony the most, early days of course.

As above I'm a little surprised over Malin's information regarding Herlings.

I really hope herlings is still injured and that isn't all he's got. If it is, expect to see him in the US on a 250 next year Whistling Laughing

It seems like herlings really believed he was going to come in and run the class like he did in mx2

You can see in his riding that he's not as comfortable as he normally is, compare what he did at MXoN last year in his first proper race on a 450 to how he looks now, I find it hard to believe that it's nothing to do with the hand. Fair play to him though, he isn't making excuses, says he needs to be better and it's tougher than he thought it was going to be. This weekend was better, another 2 weeks and he'll be better again. By the time the European rounds come around he should be where we/he expects him to be

As good and exciting as the racing was again today, it seems like Jonass and Gajser are just a small step ahead of their competition at the moment. But what a great season it is shaping up to be in both classes with so many guys in the mix.

i am going to Valkensward. JH has won the last 14 moto's at that track. I for one expect him to win both races again this year Cool

I do too. The hand is still definitely playing a part, even if the injury is not as bad as it was, he's not 100% race fit, and in a class that stacked, you can't afford to be anything other than that

Yeah he doesn't have the same aggression in his riding. Maybe his hand isn't bothering him anymore but he isn't in 100% race shape yet. The first moto looked like he was just riding around, and in the second moto when he looked better in the begining he seemed to fade towards the end. With everyone healthy the class is just so stacked right now that if you're not 100% race fit you will lose points. Riding around at 80% isn't gonna do it this year. But as you said, when the series arrives to Europe I expect to see him on the podium fighting for wins.

JH did run faster with 250f over 30min races than now with 450f so that hand or something must have put him more behind he was thinking. He´s riding what nothing like last year when he did couple 450 races and looked like just sitting down and trying to get home safe. Hope to see more after next 2 weeks.

i'll stamp this until those funny looking hand guards are on Jeffrey's bike he's not healed up properly. He hates the freaking things and only uses them when he really needs to. he has been running them all 3 rounds so far. When his guards come off we will see Herlings rise to the front

some good news..... after some rumblings about this being the last year here at the track (still stay in Argentina, but change location), they just held a press conference where both Youthstream and the local authorities were very happy about the race and are going to work very hard to keep the race here for many years to come

That sounds awesome, it's impossible to praise that race too much. The track is amazing, the scenery is amazing, the crowd is huge and it's in South America.
