That looks like a way better track than Atlanta was.

The virtual track map is always so disproportionate, but it looked to have some decent berms on the 180s. Probably be off cambers once built.

Track looks good this weekend. Long rhythm sections are always better in my book. But personally I despise the walls. I think they were originally put in place to bring lap times up a bit, but with timed mains now, what is the point of the walls? They don't add anything to the racing. Typically, the wall starts breaking down in one spot and then it's follow the leader in that spot. That equates to follow the leader in the whole straightaway after it. I just don't get what "value" these walls bring to the on track action

I see a lot of pile ups in the 1st 180 off the start.
A little more space between the head on start straight cross sections would be nice.
I will be watching every lap with a cold one in my hand and enjoying watching some supercross on the tube.....

Last year they had a wall into sand at Toronto and it was fine.

Everyone just launched it and never got roosted

I'll also add that it's a shame they don't use all that floor space... been going to this race 4 years now.

I wonder if they completely eliminate the wall into the sand this week after every single rider voiced their hate of it last week. Seems like a recurring theme this year to have similar sections of the track back to back. The two 90-90 degree first turns, 90 turn, triple 90 turn, back to back dragons backs, now the wall into the sand. I wonder if thats on purpose for a reason, or just a coincidence?

Anyone think a time may come when Feld starts looking for other track builders? Or do they own dirtwerkz?

I think I heard it on pulp a couple weeks ago that they bought into dirtwerx, called them FELD track crew a year or 2.

The whole getting down to concrete/plywood thing can definitely be remedied by them but are the designs on them as well? Not sure how that works.

The turn after the sand and the turn after the finish look awfully close to crossing paths in the start straight. Hopefully that's just the image and not scaled correctly...

This track is going to suck balls; the lanes are too short. Dumb ass track design.
2/28/2017 11:11am
I'd like to see them make the whoops so big everyone has to double double, no skiming. And put a wall at the beginning and another at the end of them. It's getting a little old watching 40 mph runs down a rhythm lane then a 180 and 40 mph down another. Surely you not accusing me of complaining and stop calling me Shirley.

I remember a day when guys who didn't like obstacles on a track didn't complain unless they felt their life was in danger, Like lights going out.

Now they just complain because if disrupts their flow and obstacles seem pointless. Nothing on a SX track has a purpose. That's why they're racing it. To figure it out!

If you're planning to win the race it shouldn't matter what the obstacles on the track are.

My guess is sneaking up the inside on the first turn like Dungey has been doing so well lately is not going to pan out as well.

I'm not seeing anything that makes think this will be really great, or unique.

Instead of these short choppy sections I would rather see something like this.

Make the red line another rhythm section with some options, the green line should be a full whoop section, and the yellow should be sand that makes 2 full 90 degree turns with both short straights with moguls or something.

Uh, really? I'm in my late 20s and know for a fact Bob Hannah complained about SX
