Terren Odell?

Whatever happened to that kid? I remember watching him back in like 07 at Cycle Ranch LL Qualifier on a big wheel 85, kid was so big on it but blew everyone's doors so dope to watch. Even saw Christian Craig at a regional at Cycle Ranch on a Supermini and was hands down the coolest and smoothed rider out there man

My moto friends knew him and when I asked that same question a few years ago they insinuated it was lack of commitment.
Whatever it was he had speed for days!

Do you think he just realised he didnt want it enough and wasnt prepared to bankrupt everyone around him in the process.

Born in Cali and moved to Arkansas when he was around 10. His maternal grandpa got him into racing around Barona Oaks. Family moved to NW Arkansas and still resident. Kid was a phenom---my oldest son grew up with that class and O'dell was a special talent.

On another note what happened to Spangler and Trettel? Suzuki used to use Trettel and Izzi in a lot of advertising.

No idea about Spangler, but Trettel got hurt at Daytona his rookie season pretty bad. Lucky to have survived it from what I remember.

Bad enough the doc advised him to hang up his boots as one more blow to the head could be lights out.

How about Worthington though? Kid was never a gnarly stand out, but as the results show, he was ALWAYS in the top 5, or even top 3 hunt in amateurs

Yeah, I kinda thought it was possible he may have been somewhere in his younger days. I just remember him being in Arkansas for quite some time. Plus, I saw him a lot because of proximity. I know his name still pops up running some local type races every once in a while, like in Watts, OK, (literally, on the border of Ark/Ok) etc.

Im serious, that week at Oak Hill, he dominated to a new level.

I thought he was building houses/apartments now?

Edit: Hate misspelling!

He may have switched careers---sold a buddy a new truck a while back. I'm out of the loop now. His family was in construction, so that would make sense.

Justin Weeks in schoolboy results was incredibly fast also. Went 1-1-1 at Lorettas against Mookie

I honestly dont think he got much bigger than those days. TBH, I always kind of wondered if that may have hampered him on bike bikes? He was stocky but seemed fairly short. I know there have been a lot of of successful short riders but maybe he adjusted differently? Pure speculation on my part.

Worthington got some kind of a muscular disease if I remember right MS, maybe? I'm not sure. I haven't seen him around for years. I'm not even sure if his family still owns the Yamaha dealership in Pittsburg, KS or not.

He's racing SXS now some too. Have some friends that are real close with him and rode with him a lot a few years ago. He showed up at Ascot in Ft Smith and put it on Jimmy Albertson after drinking beer and not riding for 3-4 months.

Spangler still rides a RM250, unless he sold it recently. He had a bad crash I thought 2 or 3 years ago he did something to his knee, but when he came back he was pretty damn fast still. Haven't seen him in a while at the usual PA tracks

For a guy that didn't ride more than once a month at most and a guy showing up at all the outdoors, it shouldn't have been close. Granted, it's a tiny track in rural Arkansas so who cares. I like Jimmy and I'm really sure he didn't care or take it too serious. It's just a story for a guy from Arkansas who never gets to see talent like that locally to tell. It's like if Russell Westbrook showed up at the Boys and Girls club and almost lost to some old guys

So you're saying you lied. All I said was Jimmy won that day. He rode a borrowed 2003 cr250 two stroke too.

I just saw Terren made the 450 motos today! I just check the vault he didn’t race since 2010. Quite crazy!

I read somewhere O'Dell got burned by the suzuki amateur program right about when he was to turn pro. I don't know the specifics or if I'm even right but I remember reading something about that

Saw him battling in the LCQ with Scott Meshy for 2nd place (Meshy unfortunately went down). My friend and I noticed him, he's not exactly race fit, if you know what I mean... We were definitely impressed, and instantly started cheering him on!

Yeah, he’s actually on the slim side right now.
