So I bring my 3 year old so to his first sx for his birthday, went to the truck after practice for his nap hit the fates at 4 and can't get back in. We spent a good amount of money to get here we have our tickets we have or re entry stubs and we have wristbands for the pits/ general admission and still got told to hit the road. I'm a lifelong fan who was trying to share this with my son, but this will be the last sx I attend. I am seriously thinking the sx circus will no longer be a part of my life.
Sorry for the rant but I'm pissed in the parking lot

If you have the industry wrist bands, go to the pits and go through the industry gate. There's a route the team and family members that have those have to use to get back and forth to the pits and stadium during race time. Hopefully this helps man.

Placing this on both pages so hopefully you see it.
Definitely worth the try! Go do it man don't let them ruin ur kids time

it is very clear that you need to re enter by a certain time, rather than complaining on a message board you could just go buy 2 new tickets, it is not sold out..... be a hero and spend the $40 for some new tickets..... supercross doesn't need to be out of your life because you can't follow directions.

Hate to be the asshole here but there is a pretty strict re-entry policy and it's posted everywhere at every race I've been to. Have to be aware of it. Not the workers' fault.

I have been to SX races in 5 states over 18 years and re-entry often changes from year-to-year and venue to venue... one year I was told there was NO re-entry by security which was 100% incorrect. After some bad experiences as a "normal" fan at SX races I emailed Racer X asking them to send Weege, Ping, Matthes to a race as a regular Joe and report back on the experience... some of it's just what happens with big sporting events but there is a lot of room to improve IMO.

Hope you and your boy got in!

Anyone who's been to the Oakland race knows it's a massive cluster fuck with the people working there, and I don't know why the heck it would matter what time he tried to get back in the stadium. I can't remember if the re-entry time was printed on the ticket or not, but for someone with a 3 year old to keep track of I can see how they could miss it. The stadium staff at Oakland is a mess every year, we've had issues with this in the past and anyone saying "rules are rules" must not have ever actually been to this race and delt with stadium staff.

staff was great IME.

there were massive signs at the entrances with notices for responsible people to apprise themselves of.

If you have no idea that there is a re-entry time how would you know to ask about it? Look, I don't know if this dude really didn't know or if he just thought he could get away with it, I just know that there has been a lot of confusion about this in the past and staff there can be less then helpful. I knew about it since I've been going to the race for years, but for someone who hasn't been I can understand the confusion, not to mention the rule makes no logical sense...

No re-entry policies are considered an additional security measure. Especially in areas that are not considered to be the best part of town.

So did you try to do what ML512 said???

Does anyone know why they have this no re-entry rule? Seems like another thing to get money out of people. If you know you can't come back in the stadium and you or your kid happen to want some food you then have no choice but to buy the stadiums over priced food. I have a hard time believing it's for security reasons considering they will let you buy another ticket and get in..

Kali suxs in general, i feel sorry for the decent and honest, intelligent people thatlive there there very much outnumbered. Traping people outside to reduce crime sounds like Kali logic for sure.

What I found surprising was that at San Diego, I showed tickets (and pit passes) to get into the pits. When we were done there, we walked back across the street, and lined up to get into the venue. Had bags checked and walked on in and to our seats without showing the tickets to anyone...

I was stationed in Oakland for three years. Not a nice place. Only used it as a hub to catch the BART or a bus to someplace else. My one and only experience at the coliseum was a vendor denying me a beer. He insisted that both my military ID and Michigan driver's license were fake. In regards to the OP though. I feel bad for the guy. The re-entry rules are assinine. In my opinion it has nothing to do with security and more to do with keeping you inside so you can buy a $6.00 bottle of water.

Man, you're the dick here. That "someone" probably needs that "$8 an hour job." I would hire a person who follows the rules and does his job over some ass hole of a bully like you any day.

Atlanta changed that route last year. Had to go out thru the in door and around then in with the posers.

Only rider and mechanics thru the tunnel, not even guyb .

Thanks to that bastard that stole the bike, hope he gets shot.
