Spirit of the Law vs. Letter of the Law.
The same people bitching to their friends that they got a speeding ticket for going 68 in a 65 zone. Stop crying baby. That's the law.
No Substance.

Steve Matthes ‏@pulpmx 59m59 minutes ago
More
The Anderson DQ was determined by his actions by podium after race where officials say he started hitting VF in helmet, not tunnel "thing"

anyone change their view on it with more information ?
Where's the proof. Cause I bet the officials didn't see it being on the floor.

All the more reason for there to be a formal review process.

Seriously, you intentionally hit someone like Anderson did, automatic DQ. He could have rode the semi and made the main.

You can bet your sweet deriere that FELD will milk this on every "MON$TER SX by FELD" highlight reel for the rest of the season. Punish Anderson and make bank from it...just like Peick last year.

I'm probably in the minority, but I think he deserved the punishment. He and his team should have been notified though. I get he was upset, but that doesn't make it right. I didn't see what Steve tweeted about, but I was sitting right by the tunnel. I saw Vince and his mechanic coming in & Jason speed up to catch them. He had the option to ride away and come back for his semi race. Instead he hit him in the tunnel & in front of the little KTM kids. Personally I think it doesn't set the right example for the future of the sport.

I saw him come out for the semi & I was surprised after the Weston incident last year. Then a few moments later I saw him & many team members walking back.

Anderson was trying to pass Vince on the outside and cut down early. What did he expect Vince to do? Roll around the inside and let him by? I don't care about the penalty either way, but I find it very funny that Anderson of all people is the one retaliating after the race. He finally got some of his own medicine as far as I see it. Sucks he got dq'd, but that's the way it goes. Should have known better. Here's to hoping he can make the remaining races interesting. We are going to need something with K-roc out and Tomac off the pace.

It's a bit silly they say we don't tolerate this type of behavior in the sport and then use it in every ad all year long. Good point.

That's pretty much how society works. Now Ralph and Jeff will hype it up for the next few rounds, forget about it and then bring it up later on in the season.

And it was just as ignorant as your last one.

As I stated before, rules are rules and Ando knows them. He chose to break them and thus got clicked with the DQ. If you don't like it then work to get the fucking rules changed but instead, what do you do? You bitch about it on an internet forum and make fun of women.

Was the DQ the right course of action in my eyes, fuck no. He should have been fined and forced to ride the LCQ but I don't make the rules.

sign up to race, you sign up for TV and waive your rights.

AMA enforces the rules, FELD promotes the event.

no link.

Why bitch about that?

I agree with the DQ.

How many dudes has Anderson roughed up? Looks to me like he can't handle a little of his own medicine.

Under the rules it probably was the right decision. Don't take this statement as meaning I think it was the right outcome. I think the rules and process are completely screwed up. I can see a rule where a physical altercation between riders while the race is in progress should result in immediate disqualification. On the other hand something like the JA/VF incident should require more than a simple knee jerk inquiry before the decision to disqualify takes place. For instance, the DQ does not take into account anything that was said, the severity of the altercation, the involvement of third parties ( the mechanic) it simply issues the DQ for the swipe to th back of the head. I've seen pictures on here where there appears to be simultaneous impact between JA slap to VF helmet and th mechanics pushing JA. Maybe there should have been two disqualifications. I don't know any of these answers, but, am fairly certain that none of them were explored prior to the DQ being issued. For a during the race altercation immediate response is required, for those not taking place while the event is in progress, a little more deliberation should be afforded. There is absolutely too much at stake to not allow for a reasonable inquiry.

I agree with it........but if they show it in every commercial 100 times a night than that is total bullshit. If I see that replayed over and over than Anderson needs to say aomething.

Also, that track incident was Andersons fault. Just like Stewart and Dungey incident. You can't turn down that hard, at, at that level, and not expect another rider to nor be there. I can't stand Friese and wish he'd get the hell off the track, but that was Jason's fault.

I would think Husqvarna would reem the team manager over letting their title contender go off the reservation like that. Where the hell were the Husky people to intercept Anderson when he came off the track? Catastrophic mistake in terms of the title chase. Anderson is fast enough to win the title this year.
Absolutely no excuses after what happened to Peick last year. SMDH

This is just another instance where the rider gets screwed because of no policy safeguards. Had it been one of the "stars" they would have looked the other way.

I'm not surprised, if Jason is mad enough to try to hit someone in the head there is no telling what kind of damage he could have done on the track.
