Warriors aren't in town (next door), no Disney on Ice or equivalent. It's on FS2 as well. Must be a programming conflict.

Do any moto fans really want to be out in Oakland after dark?

That would count as a programming conflict. The fans from the Sacramento area are pretty raucus!

This is the closest race to home for me and I attend every year. I'm super excited for a day race as it is typically freezing cold at night as well as I think it's a nice change from the same ol same ol. However they charge 40$ for parking and their isn't much security. The place is a shit hole but like I said it's close to home so I enjoy it for what it is.

Park else-where and take BART right to the stadium.

I normally make it around Atlanta watching live, then I start riding a bit more so I have to watch it on Sunday instead

I'm guessing racing starts at 4:00pm local time of opening ceremonies are at 3:30. So will start at midnight for us

That's what I plan on doing. Going from Sacramento to Richmond then take Bart to the Coliseum.

You can go to Pittsburg/Bay Point or Concord, too.

It was funny a couple years ago when STL had theirs early in the day... We were leaving the stadium at 7 and people were just trying to get in.

I bet the beers sales really suffered that day.

I'm honestly pissed, it's really going to take away from the event atmosphere for me. We usually get a box but didn't bother this year.

Means you get 4 hours sleep before Hawkstone International instead of 1.

Sweet, I can watch this west coast round with my son. Won't start passed his bed time.

I like that day races change it up a bit but honestly I've always liked how excitement builds for the race all day until night time when it's finally time to go racing! Seems like the day program just takes away from the hype around the event.

That was last year actually. Me and the group I went with hated it. Glad they are going back to 6:30 this year.

Makes me almost want stay home. This is stupid. But I'll be in line with a beer at 9am. Still hate this idea. And Oakland doesn't get that cold.

I love afternoon races. It really helps for us here on the east coast. Might actually watch it live instead of the next morning on offroadvidz

Feld wants to make nobody misses the sideshow on 880. Now that the circus left town they're doing everything to make sure you have the full experience and come back next year.

Freezing cold at night? Is that true? I've never been to Oakland but I assume it's gotta be fairly decent temperatures even for this time of year. Like I said, never been there so I'm generally curious what the typical temp is there.

close to the ocean and 50 degrees which is what its supposed to be can be bone chilling, add to a 75% chance of showers things are looking a little bleak. day time race anyway with opening ceremonies at 3:30

I am taking my kid to his first sx, I didn't even think about the bart. I think we will go that route in from Dublin.

The only bummer about the 3pm start is that we won't get chance for a pre sx moto at Club moto.

Look forward to meeting new new faces since we are new to the area
