Much respect for him though, that's not an easy thing to try. I wonder if he's going to try any east coast rounds?

Looks like he was ~20 seconds a lap off the qualifying pace.

I still love it and applaud the effort. Well done, Ronnie. Hope to see you try again.

He got some on air time during the Supercross Live show. Said his name and where he was from but never mentioned that he was on a two stroke or his age.

It would've been a cool story line for them to follow. Lots of two stroke fans out there and who doesn't like an underdog story.

No shame in failing, the man suited up and gave it his best.

He's got my full support for giving it a shot, better then every single person who didn't even try. Much respect!

Can't knock him for trying, I guess.

I talked to the guy for a bit, super nice and motivated. Said he has the support to give it a go at every round

The guy gave it a go. What if he had James Stewart in his prime skill? Whole different story.

He won one thing for sure. Best looking pipe in the house.

Are the new Huskys not homoligated? Is that why he is on that old bike?

That's the same for everyone haha. Top rider(s) will get hurt.

It's a 16, said he didn't see the 17's on the list so he didn't want to go through all the effort just to be turned away because it wasn't homoligated... Pipe is cool but unfortunately it was fake

Doubt Husky gave him a fleet of new '17's so he's riding what he has.

He launched the big triples, mad props for that alone, but he was clearly out gunned motor wise in the whoops and rhythm sections. But the dude is pure bad ass for launching what he did!

Old guy on two-stroke who's way off the pace tries to qualify, everyone is stoked... Girl tries to qualify and comes close a few times, people bag on her for trying... The internet confuses me...

This isn't meant as a dig at the guy trying to qualify, just an overview of how people react to situations.

Is this the same girl who at x games a few years back (when they judged the best whip contest by fans) very undeservedly beat out guys like Edgar Torronteras and a few others? I remember being absolutely appalled watching that.

I see no difference between the 2. I don't give a S**** if its a male or female, 2 stroke or 4 stroke. Canyon they ride the bike and compete? That is what is important.

Ok we get that you're Trying to be funny but isnt this a little over used? He's a multiple time champ. it could be funny if it was someone like Alessi in 7 years, but not a guy who is just recently fading from limelight and has 2 titles. "Mark Barnett who?" "Ricky who?"
Not funny.

Tyler Evans, for example would be funny. But come on. You're trying too hard.

Not trying hard at all. I have nothing but respect and admiration for things he's done on a bike. Just sick of people turning every thread into a JS7 thread.

WTF is your problem. Sound like a female? Cool story, bro. I said "I guess", because you really could knock him if you wanted to. No chance of making night show, riding an inferior motorcycle, possible danger to others, etc. Cool for him to go out and do it for himself, regardless. That's why I'm not knocking him.

I dunno about being outgunned motorwise in the whoops.

Kroc seemed to be able to go across whoops pretty good on a 1993.
