At this point camera technology even in iPhones is greater than viewing screen resolution and bandwidth capabilities.

I would agree that the quality is levels above everything now a days, but yeah bandwidth to transmit the resolutions are limited. Here's to hoping Google Fiber is rolled out everywhere or Amazon Black.

I didn't realize how good it could be until I tested a video on my son's xmas present today. A Dell gaming monitor with G-sync and 144HZ refresh rate. Unbelievable.

When can we get sporting events shotat 60fps? I think 1080 60fps is actually a more enjoyable improvement than UHD, but thats just me.

They already are shot at 60fps.
They are however shot at interlaced tho

That same guy posted a GoPro video of forkner. The quality was amazing and the jumps actually looked big. Love his videos

These videos require a lot more effort and that results in your greater enjoyment. This person had to walk around and get multiple angles, then do some editing and make it all work. I would have liked to have had a little Helmet cam footage thrown in there. When you have both, it really makes the videos stand out.

Thanks for the love guys! After trying a few I finally found a raw camera I like (Sony PXW-Z150) and have been working on stepping up the number of videos I post.

I do have a few 4k 60fps videos of the Star guys on the channel, check those out on your 4k TV lol

A video like the Forkner one where he's just burning laps on a SX track is pretty easy as you can get a few sections per location. Moto is where it gets harder, I typically do those in sections as the rider would get too burnt out running a ridiculous amount of laps. Not to mention me having to run everywhere (I'm not in the best of shape lol).

How I edit is also pretty easy as I'm not a fan of crazy effects and what have you. Heck most of the time I forget to get a half decent intro sequence, which is why there's usually just a single [crappy] shot and 'bam!' we're off to the riding footage.

I personally won't put helmet cam footage into a raw video unless for some reason there isn't enough raw footage for it's own video. Two pieces of content also means more total views (I'm a little whore).

Just wish all this digital video and pics were around in the late 80s early 90s when I was racing every weekend. The few pictures I do have look like crap compared to the stuff taking on cell phones now!

I like it raw!Woohoo
I would be thrilled if you could hear the bikes and those angles were used on tv. the far away shots or low bike sound make it feel slow like the mxgp video game, lol.
great work. keep em' coming for our winter blues fix.
