Been more successful elsewhere afterwards?...I was just thinking about it and couldn't think of anyone who has done better after being let go by Mitch. Seems he knows something about work ethic...

Justin Hill is the only one I could think of that's had equal success after leaving. Nobody has really done better in the lites class after leaving PC. I'm speaking in terms of SX only. I'd have to dig more for MX success.

Yup, for MX. Best with PC was 15th in 2013 and he was 12th this past season with Husky. SX is another story though.

Mike Brown was clipped during the 1992 Season and seemed to have some good rides afterwards.

Huh? He went to TLD afterwards and only completed one race for them, before going back to the privateer route. Huh

Not ragging on either, but what has Justin done since leaving PC and isn't Martin still up and down? I also say Mike Brown.

Interesting that Mike Brown came back to PC to win the 125 outdoor title in 2001.

No. Under the PC sign, it says Hotel California.

Guys, I don't mean pointing out or being forced to move up or just moving up, I mean let go for lack of results, race wins or just being a slacker.

Wasn't McGrath with PC in the Peak days? And Carmichael? I guess THEY left PC, not the other way around.

Did Weimer go from PC to FC or was it the other way around?

Other way around. FC first, then PC.

It did bring up a question. So Lamson had good results in '91 with Team Peak / Pro-Circuit Honda, but then he only raced (1) 250sx race in '92 on a Suzuki, then a full schedule outdoors on a 125 Suzuki. Don't remember if he left Pro Circuit or was let go?

Pingree had good success with KTM a few years after his run with PC.

Shorty rode PC early in and didn't do too much. It mighta just been outdoors though. He had success afterwards on Motoworld Suzuki and then Team Honda

It was extreme sarcasm.

The OP mentioned Mitch knowing something about "work ethic". I've always thought Durham was a huge waste of talent and took rides from more deserving guys.

Not everyone left on their terms, but not everyone faded into obscurity.

A guy that left after a partial ride Mitch used to do, but did alright for himself after, Brock Sellards. Would love to have seen him on a full PC deal, because I believe he would've secured a title.

Well the majority who have success there then move up to the 450 class... so that makes the question largely redundant because hardly any 250 champs replicate the success in the big bike class. ie Townley, Weimer, Bentley, Brown

The rest who aren't champs are probably similar... Morais, Davalos, Hill, Metcalfe, Stroupe, all were similar before and after, occasional wins/podiums etc.

Lamson won after in the 125 class tho, Dobb in Europe... and then big bike McGrath, Carmichael, Pichon obviously...

PC has a convenient list of its old riders for this topic on their site:
http://www.procircuit.com/teamhistory.htm

In the first year, Lamson rode for them in '91, he had a lot better results in 95/96 winning 125 MX titles, he did ride 250s and 500s first though. Brian Swink also won a 125 East SX title for them in '91, switched to Suzuki and won the same title in '92.

Antunez ('92) might have done better after leaving if you count his Arenacross titles and wins.

Pingree ('95,'96,'97) did better for the most part in '99 and 2000 on a Suz after leaving.

Metcalfe ('07, '08) did slightly better in 2009/2010 on the Honda, maybe.

In short, riders don't usually leave there and start winning more.
