Not to mention the humiliation of Reed at Unadilla in 02. Wasn't enough to beat him, he had to humiliate him. That told me a lot about Stewart and I've never been a fan since. The whole "TUE? You mean I need a TUE for amphetamine?" thing was a pretty pathetic episode as well.

Wonder how he'd feel if one of the young guns pulled that Reed stunt on him now. No doubt they could, but they probably have more class.

Racing is all about mind games- Reed was running his mouth saying if he started in front he would win, trying to get in James' head.
James, had other ideas and wanted to get in Chad's head, making sure he was damn sure he wouldn't beat him. Mission accomplished. Don't run your mouth Chad unless you can back it up!

I thought it was class. A spectacle. Shoot, we're talking about it now, after what, 14 years?!

By your theory, if Stewart says he can win races this season if he gets a start, then its open season for toying with him on the track when he gets tired or gets blisters or whatever. Thankfully I can only think of a couple of guys who might lower themselves to do that and I hope they don't.

It's hypothetical anyway, it seems the industry has finally realized what many on here have been saying for a while. Not too many teams dumb enough to sign him now.
Woohoo Woohoo Woohoo

I'm kind of amazed that you called JS out as a "prick" because of PEDs...when all he did was continue taking a doctor-prescribed medication to correct his ADHD and help him operate like any other rider as far as focus goes.

As far as "taking guys out"...I guess you'd have to lump the vast majority of the top-10 pros in the last 10-years together and call them "pricks" as well if that's your criteria for being one. Racing is about getting to the front and winning...not following and losing.

Fact is, you don't like Stewart...and that's ok.

Haha, but running your mouth isn't being a prick? Only blowing away someone on the race track is being a prick?

They wouldn't prep him a 17 for practice and two races before they are done with him.

That's the reason they are holding out for more money. Repairs don't come cheap at Stewartville.

As far as "taking guys out"...I guess you'd have to lump the vast majority of the top-10 pros in the last 10-years together and call them "pricks" as well if that's your criteria for being one. Racing is about getting to the front and winning...not following and losing.

He took way more than the required dosage even a tue wouldn't cover the amount he was taking.

The MCR program can't be scoffed at. They just haven't had the right riders to really be successful,.. Isn't it time we take them seriously? All the " Drama. " Aside, it seems like a great program that offers more freedom than a factory team, and the dude is investing back into the sport, creating jobs.

No. The Reed incident made me think he was a bit of a prick, same as I would think if some local kid at the track started doing it, its just not very a very cool thing to do.

The ped incident made me think he was a cheat.

The cop incident just had me shaking my head and wondering about the mentality of the guy.
