Hey Guys ,

i have a Problem with my front brake . I use the MotoMaster Disc , RSi Pads , Motul RBF 660 and Steel Hose
but my front brake is almost spongy and weak :/

i found some dudes that use Honda CRF Master Cylinder and Brake Caliper . do you know something about that ?

with best regards
Vincent #15
Hey mate, nice RM.

dbrunksi125 and myself have been on a mission so to speak to find the best possible brake setup for an RM125. My personal setup at the moment consists of a 280mm Motostuff Blade kit. Motostuff still do not offer a 280mm kit for the RM 2 strokes so I pieced together my own setup. I used a disc for a 2004 - 2017 YZ/YZF (direct bolt on) and the calliper bracket used on a 2005 - 2017 RM/RMZ, Core Moto stainless braided lines, Renthal Gen II Intellilever and SBS Sintered race pads, this is running both the OEM fitted standard master cylinder and brake calliper.

I had it adjusted to take out the spongy feel at the lever, it gave a nice solid initial bite, but to be honest this first setup was just too much for me and I had to adjust some modulation back into the lever by taking that adjustment back out to give it some more "freeplay" I suppose you could call it.

Of course you could also swap out a 2008 - present KXF calliper or the Ride engineering or Motostuff billet calliper and get another set up in performance but, seriously my 280mm kit its almost too much.

The Shop

Looks awesome!

Which Acerbis mounting bracket did you use to mount the front disc guard?

I don't see that Acerbis offers that disc guard for the RM models.

Really nice build! Like the yellow on the clutch perch adjuster. Just like the factory bikes. Nice little detail

i cut the plates with a angle grinder and a thin disc
after that i grind it with sandpaper .. now it looks like OEM Smile

hey cescar ,

the RMZ wheels does not fit in your RM ... the hubs are different ( RM smaller axle )

A really great build. Probably one of the nicest RM builds I've seen for a while, that graphics kit is perfect!

The fork/triple clamp combo looks the nuts as well, awesome job.
