I would bet that it would be for a lot of teams. Even if they would never say that it would be.

Now it's James' fault that Malcom doesn't have a ride. Laughing

I want to see Malcolm out there competing but i almost want that to be the case. To just drop out after a (only) regional 250 title should have some consequences in my opinion.

Well lets hope that he gets a deal, i think he could be pretty good at times on a 450. Probably not consistent enough for a really good finish after 17 rounds but podiums at certain races is a possibility.

In my eyes, Mookie on a 450 is a better rider to have than Wilson, Bogle, Grant, Brayton, etc. He has top tier speed and can win on a the right day.

I'm pretty sure Brayton is going to Geico. Not based on any information that I have received...just my speculation.

He isn't going to MCR
Malcolm isn't going to Geico.
Bogle had his second chance with Geico.
Brayton rode for Geico and HRC with decent results.
He is riding a factory bike with HRC on shroud down under and leading in points.

According to Matthes, his team is showing confidence with a Honda deal.

On top of that, I don't see Justin riding for MCR. Too much drama for him.

Grant won't make healthy more than 2 races.. He will be strong with Factory Kawasaki with Tomac.

Haha. I have problems posting on here so I`m working with Vital staff to solve it. That`s why I posted test. Looks like I picked up some virus and it`s nothing on their end.

When has he ever shown top tier speed on a 450?

What drama at MCR are you talking about?

How about being faster than everyone (including James) at straight rhythm? How about setting the fastest combined class time of the day on his 250 last year en route to his championship. He was very fast on the 450 overseas last year also. Mookie has that raw speed you look for. You hire speed and talent and coach for consistency and fitness in moto...

All (ok, most) signs point to Brayton being on a Honda under the MCR tent with some factory support.

Fastest at straight rythem? LMAO.

When he's fastest time on a 450 then I'll say he has top tier speed, until then his 450 results show he is far from a top guy.

Are you comparing straight rhythm speed to 450 SX speed? The only thing those have in common are the jumps. And you know the saying "jump for show, corner for dough." The two race formats are pretty far apart.

I don't doubt that he has speed. But to say he's "top tier" speed in the 450 class might be a bit of a stretch. I'd say it's even more of a stretch considering he hasn't raced since the end of supercross.

That's what he deserves for being lazy and not racing outdoors. SX only makes you take too much time off in the summer while the other guys are racing/training daily. His brother hasn't won a title after SX in 09 when he took the summer off.

He looked good and performed well on a honda 450 when he ran it outdoors before. As a fan of the sport I hated him not being out there last year.

MotoConcepts bought 2026's because the 450's weren't going to be here in time to test and get them working good in time for A-1. I have ZERO inside knowledge of the Stewart deals, but I'd be willing to bet that there wasn't going to be much money for Mookie to ride the 450 Geico bike in the first place. Bogle rode it for free last year....
He'll probably have a salary if the rumors are true of the Seven Honda team.
Not a rumor last I heard on bikes. 17 bikes and parts supply being the issue there. Who knows with all the other logistics and conflicts.
Those 15-16's are pretty dam good too. look what Eli was doing, and how Mikey went at MEC. Probably as good a ride as he's ever had. I'd take that offer and hope it's not pride from Stu's blowing this deal.

Yeah, it's a pretty solid rumor, which may end up happening. But after the MCR deal fell through on the (supposedly) factory supported Honda, I lost interest. That was actually a real possibility of him signing with MCR at one point, from what I was told, Which totally blew my mind.

Mookie not racing the outdoor nationals had nothing to do with him being lazy. In 2015 he suffered from severe dehydration to the point that he was seriously close to dying. His liver and kidneys were damaged and he was still dealing with problems from these injuries entering into the 2016 Supercross series..

I for one think Malcolm could possibly podium. He does have some really fast , raw speed. He does also have a tendency to wreck quite often as well though. And in SX on a 450....i dunno , something says to me that he could either land on the box once or twice and randomly hit the top 5 now and then. Just my opinion.

And then there's what actually happened!

"Stewart(Malcolm) last raced the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship in 2014. He competed in the 450 Class that year (only outdoors, not in supercross) and had the look of a consistent performer, finishing inside the top ten in nine of the first 11 motos to start the season. But midway through the season, he encountered major health problems when a case of severe dehydration led to kidney issues and forced him to miss the final five rounds of the season.

Despite being healthy last year, Stewart subsequently sat out the 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross campaign, as his initial deal with GEICO Honda that year was originally just for supercross
."

Bolded for clarity.

Yup Malcolms deal with Geico is not going through anymore according to Mathes and the other guest on the pulpmx show. They all seemed very confident in their answer too. It just leaves me to wonder why earlier today Malcolm's mechanic posted a photo on instagram of Malcolm on a 16 geico Honda wearing seven gear. I want to hear an answer soon already, especially since Malcolm is gonna be racing overseas this week. Hopefully him and his brother end up making a team with seven and honda.
If you listen to the show more closely, they are talking to "Raining Yellow", who is a James Stewart super fan that called in to know the status of JS getting a deal done with Geico Honda. And Matthes said the deal for James to ride for Geico was dead and doesn't know what James is going to do. The show before that Raining Yellow had called in to ask Pulpmx if he had heard if James was rumored to be riding for Geico Honda and Steve told him he didn't know anything or hadn't heard anything, but if he did he would update it on the next show. Well, he did hear something, and deal was dead.

Well Mookie just posted on his snapchat that he is on his way to "Holland" I'm guessing he will be riding a Geico 450. Why no press release about his plans/deal ?
