Is hard to watch.

Got to say, as a fan, James has been frustrating to follow ever since his move to L&M all those years ago. Sounds harsh, but he never felt honest to the fans and his bizarre on/off relationship with the press was frustrating. Maybe he was ill advised and ill managed earlier in his career. Pretty tragic the way his career has gone considering this is the guy that confidently thought he was going to surpass MC's win record. I was really hoping for an amazing comeback story after the time off with the PEDs, but he came back out of shape which I found confusing. Wish him all the best, as a fan I wish there was just more transparency.

I believe a lot (a lot, not all) of the things that happened to Stewart this year could of easily been avoided with a little preparation. What I mean is throughout James' racing career he's always had sketchy moments but he'd usually be able to save it. You think this year the bike just all of a sudden started reacting in ways it never had before? No, James just wasn't able to save himself from the crashes which I believe to be a skill you can only obtain by riding the motorcycle a lot.

He reminds me of the motocross version of Michael Jackson. All secret and shit, doing weird things at neverland but still was a bad ass. Except MJ got weird with the drugs, JS got weird without the drugs. Just saying, Opps maybe I need to take a break from the beer.

I agree with that!

If its team red or Team Seven he needs to say something.

I don't think he has anything set in stone just yet , but from the sounds of it he has something brewing. I bet we see him on a red bike. To what extent Honda helps out...who knows.
Jeff it would be nice to hear something! I think that if he was going to do something on his own we would know by now. But maybe you are right that he is waiting on getting a contract set up and its not set in stone. I think him and Malcolm are going to ride together in 2017. Is Malcolm signed to Honda on the 450 still?

I don't get the comparison besides them both being greats.... Just because he is one of the greats doesn't mean he has to share his personal life anymore than say.... Trey Canard, or Cole Seely. Sure you want to know about him more cause you're actually the nosey weirdo, but the guy isn't obligated to tell ya shit.

His charges from the back of the pack were always exciting. Wish he would dig deep, and charge back from this slump he's been in.

why is there a deadline between A1? Remember TwoTwo didnt finalise their intentions until 2-3 weeks before A1 not so long ago....so why the big deal that JS7 announce his intentions within the next week?

Of course there is no deadline. However, straight rythym is James' event, that happens to put on by one of his sponsors. It would be fitting for him to break silence for it, wouldn't you imagine?

He came off the couch overweight and not ready. And yet he still flew didn't he. I mean people get down on him but this year he was still one of he fastest people on track even if he didn't get results.

The brilliance is there. I just don't know if he can turn it into results

What reason did he have for being overweight and not ready . IMO he does nt deserve a ride. He was soooooooooooooooo lucky to still have a ride coming back from a drugs ban .. I hope he comes back with his own team or something . but imo he is the least deserving of a good ride out of everyone .

It's a good comparison.

Once in a generation talent. Effusive in public, yet a very private person. Domineering fathers. Broke racial barriers. Secret ranch. Drug dramas. Long and incredibly successful career, but a shorter prime than many expected.

Hope he can turn it around.

rides are for producing; did he produce this year more than even, say, MB32 did/would?

I just hope that James doesn't try to rush another attempt if he is still feeling the effects of A1! Your health is all you truly have and the money /fame is not worth it if you end up crippled mentally or physically! That being said, I hope he can make a comeback and be competitive for another year or two!

JS7 got a huge second chance after the Ban . then shows up unready to A1 . I use to play rugby , One of the best players we had turned up to the first day of training ,and it was clear he did nt prepare for it all over the off season .which we where contracted to do . He got fired there and then after the first day of training . This is why he is the least deserving ,imo. If james put 100% into last year ,before the season .do you think it would have went as bad as it did !!!

He is still undecided and has some decisions to make. I know of one offer he has been made from insider. Just watch keep watching supercross reruns and chill.

Theres a reason he came in 2016 "unprepared", he got injured which made the so called boot camp a no go. Rode the bike 2-3 weeks before A1. Then we all know what happened, concussion, injured back...
Skipped the last couple SX races trying to heal up the body coming into Outdoors, pops his shoulder and that was that season all summed up.
2016 is not the way hes going out, expect an announcement soon.

You must be quite the physical specimen if you say stew had a beer gut.

Guy jacks his ankle trying to race into shape and people just bag on the dude.

Nice gif by the way. Your kid must of just showed you how to use those. Right off!

Man early in the video OP posted where he squares up the corner and clue through the whoops at Mach 1 is just crazy.

Then there's a million other clips in the same video where's he's almost endoing over singles. Crazy in a different way.

I just hope James is healthy and happy.

Who knows what's next for Bubba at this point. At least he isn't playing the social media game until then like some of the others have in the past. Not his style and thank God for that.

I've seen a lot of good pros come and go through the years and you can say what you want about Bubba, but there's only a few that could hold a candle to him in his prime. In fact for the majority of his career the only person that could beat Bubba on a regular basis was himself.

His whole career has been a highlight reel, sometimes the rubber side was down and sometimes it wasn't. Unfortunately for him, that's why he's in the position he is today, his style for the majority of his career was win or crash trying to win.

So everyone below 10th in points is retired?
Good to know.
